Amazing stay near Brasilito

Pros: Excellent location surrounded by lovely beaches and brilliant restaurants. The room was huge and had all the facilities we needed. The pool was an added bonus. The local beaches are all lovely with plenty to do.

Beautiful hotel in a great location

Pros: Wonderful location. The different areas are beautifully decorated and well kept. The breakfast is great too. The rooms are large and comfortable. Beds are comfy. The reception staff was always helpful and gave us all the information we needed. I fully recommend this place!

Cons: Some minor details that wouldn't keep me from booking this hotel again, as they are easily fixed: 1. The showerhead could be improved. 2. The bathroom mirror light did not work. Shower was very dark, even with the lights on. 3. We had some trouble closing the bathroom door.

Pros: Welcome combined nature with the venue. Good breakfast

Air conditioner

Pros: The house was so beautiful and clean. Most staff were great and very kind. The location is perfect, super close to the beach and other amenities. There are two medium-sized pools, and it's a very calm and relaxing environment. It seems like it's more of an adult friendly complex because of how quiet it is, but we brought two kids, and they enjoyed their time!

Cons: We rented the large house for 3 nights for a family of 7. The ad said it's an air-conditioned home, yet it wasn't. Only the bedrooms had air conditioners, which is great. However, the main entrance, kitchen, dining room, and living room had no air conditioner, which was so hard to make our experience enjoyable. We cooked, hung out, and ate in 36C heat, and it was almost unbearable. We requested some portable fans, and they gave us 2 extra ones, and it helped, but it wasn't enough. For the price we paid for 3 nights, you would expect to have an actual air-conditioned home in Guanacaste to go cool down after being at the beach...

Safe and family orientated

Pros: Can’t fault this place. It’s very family orientated. If you have WhatsApp it’s really easy to communicate with the hotel. You ask for anything and they are there within a flash. I know it’s not everyone’s forte but we were really appreciative of the fact that you can’t bring animals or smoke on the complex as I have very bad allergies. You all have your own table and chairs to sit out the front around the pool. You can even take your own food and drink on site and treat your room as your home. There is a gated entrance and you need a key fob to get in. It is extremely safe. If you like your Snorkling and scuba diving the office is literally a 5 minute walk, 2 minute drive or they collect you. The prices for these activities were reasonable. We say hump back wales swimming in the harbour too. It was such a good location.

Cons: Breakfast was basic but you can just make your own. Too many ornaments in the room so little space to put your things.

Clean, comfortable, accomodatng and great location

Pros: Our stay with Casas del Toro was fantastic. Due to weather issues and airport closures were uncespectedly stuck in Costa Rica for 3 more nights than we planned. Casas del Toro was incredibly accomodating, allowing us to extend our stay and providing significant kindness at a very stressful time. The property is gated which made it feel very safe. It is a beautiful, well maintained property. We enjoyed listening to the birds and looking at the many orchids. The room was large, clean, comfortable with everything we needed. The air conditioner worked great to keep us cool. The location was minutes away from the beach and a grocery store. We drove to Potrero, Tamarindo, Brasilito and Las Catalinas with ease from the location. We were only able to enjoy the pool once due to the weather but it was lovely.

Cons: Would have loved to visit for the season when the restaurant is open for breakfast.

Very good value for money. Clean and comfortable.

Pros: Exceptional property! The place was very clean which isn't considered as a norm in Costa Rica. The place had nice pool and overall felt newish and updated.

Accommodations were very good, but expensive.

Pros: Breakfast was good, but the server was not efficient.

Cons: The restaurant server was not organized well. Food came, but the utensils had to be asked for. Tea was lukewarm as was the coffee.

We will definitely stay here again. It's a beautiful facility!

Pros: This was a great place to stay with our family. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We arrived late (after the reception desk closed) and were given very helpful guidance on how to enter the hotel after hours. We enjoyed breakfast by the pool. Service was outstanding.

Cons: There were limited television options. The sofa was position under the television, so we had to move the sofa to a more convenient location.

Pros: This is a great place. The rooms are large and clean. The layout is pretty and functional, the staff are kind, helpful and professional. They really care about what they are doing. The pool is a great size for families and the whole setting is peaceful except for the squawking of the parrots twice a day. There is a great lunch spot, a la Nico, 150 meters down the road.

Cons: You do need to drive or be driven to get to the beach, but that inconvenience is minor.
