Despite the unusable room we enjoyed the accommodation and would recommend it when visiting La Fortuna.

Pros: The location of this property was perfect for us. It was secure and relatively quiet. We stayed in Chalet 1 of the three which meant the other occupiers had to walk past our chalet to get to theirs but this was not an issue for us. We had torrential rain the whole time we were in Fortuna so did not utilise the pool but did use the outdoor shower to wash mud off our shoes!

Cons: There is a utility type room within the property which was completely unusable because of the strong smell of damp or drains. No property could be left in there as the smell was unbearable. This meant there was nowhere for us to dry wet clothes. It would be nice to have a mat inside the door to leave muddy shoes on as we did not walk inside the property with our shoes on and were unable to clean them because of the weather.

A modern oasis in the the Costa Rican paradise!

Pros: The beautiful contemporary style with something special in this area. Everything you need to start a longer stay is there… Wish I had been there more than one night, passing through! The house and the grounds are both spotless. Communication with the owners prior to arrival was exceptionally good, almost instant instantaneously …when I ask several questions I received answers immediately. The pictures on the booking site are exactly the way the place is today.

Cons: I can’t imagine a thing not to like. I’ve stated a number of Airbnb‘s and other hotels, and this place was probably at the top of the list of wonderful spots. Gracias Gracias Gracias.
