My stay here could not have been better!
Pros: The lodges are beautiful, spacious and clean. Amazing location, beautiful view, and our host was very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent.

Pros: A little piece of paradise in the heart of nature It’s hard to put into words a place this magical. From the moment we arrived, Kenneth welcomed us with genuine kindness, truly one of the best hosts we’ve ever met. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he made our stay feel effortless, warm, and memorable from beginning to end. We’ve travelled all around the world, but here we found something rare: peace, tranquility, and a quiet heartbeat that instantly soothes you. Our lodge was cosy, comfortable, and perfectly blended into the natural surroundings, with views that were simply… breathtaking. Kenneth also organised a morning bird-watching tour for us, a beautiful, serene experience we highly recommend. And breakfast? Absolutely delicious and the perfect start to the day. If you’re looking to escape, unwind, reconnect, and enjoy stunning nature, this is the place. Truly a slice of paradise on Earth. Thank you Kenneth 🙏 Pura Vida 🌿

Pros: Beautiful location and cottage. It was very clean and we were welcomed so nicley by the hosts. They were very kind and helped us organize our tour and gave us a lot of helpful information. The breakfast was fantastic too. We would love to come again!

Beautiful location and the staff were so friendly and helpful
Pros: Really nice lodge in the mountains. The location was amazing and the staff were so friendly and so helpful. We had a really good morning bid watching with Carlos and although we had to pay extra for the breakfast it was really nice.
Cons: There could have been more storage and kitchen facilities in the lodge. The driveway to the lodge is a bit sketchy and the car struggled a bit. Need a 4x4 to be comfortable

Beautiful location and very comfortable cabine!
Pros: The location is super magical! The view is beautiful and the cabines look brand new and are very clean and comfortable! At the lodge across the river you can have breakfast with a very nice view of the river and see a lot of brides.
Cons: The walkway from parking lot to the cabines can be a bit of a challenge, especially when the grass is wet.

What a beautiful location - we particularly enjoyed the view and the Quetzal sightings!
Pros: Beautiful private place with good facilities, stunning views and comfortable bed. The host was very friendly and helpful and questions were answered promptly. I particularly enjoyed breakfast by his trout pond on one of the mornings!
Cons: More facilities for cooking could have been nice, though I know that it was clear these weren't on offer. Just a thought for the future. It was very easy to get nice food in local restaurants.

Breath taking
Pros: Everything was a delight, it's one of those place where it's actually better in person, pictures fall short as the place is much better. We were able to observe quetzal from our own balcony. Serenity and calmness are in every corner and nature is exquisite. Bonus: try the breakfast and the bird watching tour they offer. Thank you Kennett for the experience.

Nice stay disconnected in San Gérardo Da Dota
Pros: The chalet was in the middle of a forrest, in total immersion within the nature. The chalet itself is very comfy. The owner was very nice and helpful.

Pros: - The location of the house - to be alone in such beautiful mountains, with the view through the glass wall was amazing
Cons: - It was not really easy to drive to the house with a regular SUV (without 4x4 and differential lock mode), especially on the way back to the street from the apartment. - There's no heating in the apartment, so end of March it was relatively chilly inside (6 degrees Celsius in the evening)

Beautiful place at San Gerardo
Pros: Peaceful, quiet, beautiful view of hillside, creek nearby with birds. Make sure that you stop at Miriam's Quetzals for coffee and hummingbirds and at Dona Marlen (recommended by owner) for delicious Costa Rican food with fresh trout, as well and more hummingbirds.
Cons: My wife speaks some Spanish, so we communicated with the owner O.K., otherwise we would have needed a good translation app.
