Cabaña de Montaña

Pros: The location was conveniently near Orosi center and Tapantí National Park. It had beautiful garden where we could hear toucans and a nice small terrace. There was a beautiful view of the mountains. The place was quite quiet and peaceful. The hosts were really nice, offering local breakfast in compensation for an inconvenience. The place was simple and felt charmingly local. The kitchen was small but had all we needed. The parking was large and comfortable.

Cons: The cabin felt a little small for four people but it was OK for a short stay. The shelfs could be cleaner. There was a problem with a blocked toilet at the beginning but it was solved the other day.

Pros: It is cute and quirky with just about everything you might need. The Costa Rican owner Juan is really friendly

Cons: A little cluttered. The shower doesn’t drain away properly.

Tranquility and beauty

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Warmly greeted by Juan, he spoke a little English and I speak a little Spanish so we managed to understand each other. He even took us to his own home nearby and introduced us to his wife and explained a few things about the area.It’s a beautiful location with stunning views. The cabin is just as the photos show, beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. A small but perfectly functional kitchen, had everything we needed. Nice toiletries in the bathroom, a comfortable bed. In addition, there’s outside space and parking. The nearby town of Orosi has plenty of shops and restaurants. You can drive there or use the footbridge across the river.

Cons: A couple of hooks in the bathroom would be helpful to hang towels. Otherwise, perfect.

Pros: Don Juan was lovely, bit of a language barrier but that was our fault. We arrived late and he was very flexible with it. Also flexible with payment, we had to change our dollars into colones at the nearby supermarket in Orosi (15-20 min walk) as the bank was closed on Sundays. Facilities were comfortable, couldn't work out how to turn the shower on hot but again I think due to lack of know-how. Super cute

The cabin is in middle of nature, with beautiful views of the mountains and valleys, very quiet.

Pros: The owner came to the bus station to pick us up. The place is a smaller size cabin as advertised, in middle of nature, beautiful views of the valleys, very quiet, we were lucky, the toucans came to the berry bush by the entrance door and we enjoyed them from the house.

Simple and authentic stay in Orosi in the middle of nature. Great views and kind hospitality.

Pros: We really liked the location, attention to detail, spectacular view and kind reception by Don Juan. Highly recommended for a simple and authentic stay in the middle of nature. The place is great value for money when staying in Orosi.

Cons: It seems that the booking is handled by Don Juan's son Sergio who was very short in the written communication. He seems interested in his profits more than in guests' needs and experience. We asked for a sleeping solution for our 10-months old daughter and he was not at all helpful. After having struggled to get responses from him before our arrival, he suddenly jumped into action when it came to the payment. What a stark contrast to his wonderfully kind and helpful parents!

Perfect cozy cabin vibes with incredibly nature views and kind host!!

Pros: The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming! We had issues with traffic and were running late, an hour after check in time, and the hosts waited for us and were super kind and understanding upon our arrival. The location was absolutely amazing as well!!

Pros: La localización es exacta muy fácil el acceso y muy cerca del centro muchos restaurantes donde se puede comer

Pros: El equilibrio entre lo cercano del centro y a la vez la naturaleza que rodea la cabaña.

Pros: Il posto è magnifico, la cabina è tutta in legno con una zona relax nel piano inferiore. Il posto è vicinissimo ad un ruscello nella foresta dove si può accedere con un piccolo sentiero. Juan è fantastico, ci ha anche aiutato a far ripartire l' auto che aveva la batteria scarica
