Pros: Stunning place with incredible views. Monique was a fantastic host and gave us an amazing tour of her gardens. We felt thoroughly relaxed after our stay here and enjoyed watching all the birds and wildlife. Highly recommend. We hope to come back one day. Thank you Monique 🙏🏻

Costa Rica favorite

Pros: Whats not to like? This is the Costa Rica you hope to see and experience. Stunning forest location, the drive up is an adventure, countless birds and animals surrounding you. Very comfortable house with all amenities you can imagine. Private pool with stunning views. And the hosts are nothing short of amazing. Kind, very kind, entertaining, knowledgable, helpfull. It starts from the booking, day before arrival, tips for places for lunch on your way to them - to bookings for restaurants. Probably best hosts ever - and we’ve travelled the whole globe… Considering Costa Rica - Uvita? Do not hesitate.

Cons: If you complain in this place - then do not travel at all.

A true paradise where you feel at home

Pros: We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for more. From the very first moment, the owner made us feel truly at home, like part of the family. Her kindness and care made all the difference and turned our stay into a special experience. The place itself is absolutely magnificent, surrounded by nature and greenery — a real paradise where you can completely relax and disconnect. You can see more nature here than in many paid national parks, which says a lot about how special this place is. The room was perfect, fully equipped with everything you need and offering a breathtaking view that we will never forget. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We would definitely come back!

Truly amazing!!!

Pros: In just two words: truly amazing! Otherworldly views from the two levels on the house. All the facilities to be able to cook full meals if you like. On top of that: Hans and Monique are the best host you can ever imagine.

Beautiful place!

Pros: What a beautiful place! The entire property is well taken care off and full of births and animals. We saw monkeys, Aras and Monique told us everything about the medicinal plants in the garden. She is a great host and we would definitely come back if we have the chance!

The most beautiful of surroundings with breathtaking views.

Pros: Exceptionally beautiful from the gardens through to the property. Once you’ve visited you’ll never wish to leave. The view is stunning. Monique and Hans are the perfect hosts and we loved the tour of the gardens.

Cons: The fact we had to leave

Paradise in Uvita.

Pros: Location and views are spectacular. Loads to do nearby and easy to get to and from local attractions. Our hosts were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of great recommendations and advice.

Cons: Absolutely nothing!

Aardig persoon en uitmuntende eigenaren! Rustgevende locatie met alle voorzieningen voorzien.

Pros: De ligging was heerlijk op een berg in de Jungle. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en zorgde goed voor ons in elk opzicht. We hadden een heerlijk privé huisje met een parking naast het huisje. Alles was overdekt en heerlijk geslapen in het 2 persoons bed.

Cons: Wij hadden een 2x2 dat was onze eigen fout geweest. Ik zou een 4x4 willen hebben om er makkelijker te komen.

Absolutely magical! Love at first sight!

Pros: I can say, without hesitation, that staying at Uvita Bali Bosque was the highlight of our time in Costa Rica. I had been looking for something peaceful and beautiful, but didn't really know what to expect--especially after making the climb in our 4x4 up the steep mountain road! But as soon as we arrived we knew we were going to experience something special. We loved being surrounded by the jungle, seeing the countless colorful birds, hearing the howler monkeys calling in the morning, walking the gardens, and taking in the views out to the ocean. Moreover, Monique and Hans were incredibly warm and welcoming, going out of their way to share what makes their home special and to provide tips on what to see and do around Uvita. (We also loved their dogs and cats!) We had to tear ourselves away when we left. We will just have to return!

Cons: Nothing! But just be aware that you really do need a 4x4 vehicle to get to Uvita Bali Bosque. And know that if you rent the smallest house, you will not have much space--but you'll be spending most of your time on the patio anyway! It was great for us.
