Great eco location and accommodation

Pros: Eco friendly, unusual setting, with great views over cloud forest. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast very good.

Cons: Road to Tami is an adventure! And signs for restaurant/parking hard to spot (though reception easy). Moving luggage between car and room not easy.

Beautiful immersion into the cloud forest - with a spectacular guided tour to see the Quetzal birds

Pros: Fantastic location, lovely staff. We had an amazing day with our guide David Retana, organised via Tami Lodge, to find the beautiful Quetzal bird. David was absolutely brilliant - he loves and knows the area like no one else - highly recommended! David also features in the lonely planet guide for Costa Rica.

Beautiful, unique location unspoilt due to tough accessibility

Pros: Amazing location and views. Great hot showers overlooking the cloud forest. Juan and his family provided lovely food with a friendly smile

Cons: Cold at nights so needed to wear cloths in bed despite using the blankets provided. No electricity in rooms and lights off at 9pm The road/track to the property is 12km long and not for the feint hearted - would suggest not attempting at night unless you already know the road

Pros: The tents were comfortable and wonderful. View was extraordinary. Ride in to Tami Lodge was an adventure.

Cons: Food at restaurant was a bit pricy. Breakfast was satisfactory. Wished the new 'coffee shop' opened earlier for their great coffee.

Pros: Superb place, clean tents are spacious, with private showers with nice view. Stuff is very nice, pleasant cafeteria on the property. And birdwatching tour is best.

Pros: The location of Tami Lodge was absolutely beautiful! The views from the tent is stunning and the tent has everything you need. We did the Quetzal tour and really loved it! Johan was the best guide :))

Just perfect!

Pros: Incredible nature, wildlife everywhere, delicious food, impeccably clean accommodations. But the people of the lodge (and community) make the real difference. We were sorry when we had to leave! Thank you Juan, Gustavo, Evelyne and everyone else.

Pros: Nice experience, well positioned and equipped, in the middle of the beautiful nature. Great view of the sky and stars at night. Interesting shower, unexpectedly - even with hot water :)

Cons: We do not know if the restaurant and the lodges are somehow business wise connected, but for us the staff in the restaurant was much more helpful and pleasant, than the ones at the reception/common space. We lacked some of the information before arrival (about the Quetzal tour), so we could not properly plan our time (which is important when you stay only for 1 night).
