Mapi's Cabins

Pros: Such helpful owners and staff. They went out of their way to help me when I had problems with local buses.

Pros: Probably one of the best places we've ever stayed in in terms of customer service. Our host was extremely helpful. Very near the port and an authentic Tico town!

Pros: Good location for ferry and departure point for excursions. Rooms were simple but well appointed and very clean - aircon was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Comfortable, friendly place to stay near the ferry and Isla Tortuga trips.

Pros: The fresh coffee made for me for free while I was working in the mornings was much appreciated! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even with the language barrier. I would stay here again over anywhere else in the area.

Comfortable for a one night stay!

Pros: We knew that is was a cheap accommodation/motel and we booked it just for the night, as we took the ferry next morning. We were really surprised about how clean everything was and what we got for that little money. Room size, bathroom (water pressure, size) was great compared to other accommodation we had in costa rica (more expensive, not that clean, etc..)

Pros: The people were so nice & the location was convenient.

Cons: There was no ice available.

Pros: The place was very good for money value and the stuff was super friendly and nice. He helped us to get a bioluminescence tour and informed us about different things. I really recommend the place! They also have a very nice dog around which makes the place even more friendly.

Cons: Nothing, all was good!

Nice stay close to the fairy

Pros: The receptionist waited until we arrived from the 8:30 pm fairy. It was less then a 10 minutes ride from the fairy, which was great. The room was very clean

Cons: It was very difficult to get the water in the shower to right temp, was either too hot or not hot enough. Eventually we found the sweet spot but that was frustrating a bit

Good value place run by nice people

Pros: We had a nice, pleasant stay here. The room was spacious. It had A/C and the shower had hot water. When we sent a question to the owners, they were at the door 5 minutes later to help us. Good value and a good nights sleep. 🙏

Cons: It was all fine

Pros: Clean basic facilities - exactly as advertised. Rooms were VERY spacious. Secure, refrigerator in rooms. Communication beforehand was great!

Cons: Microwave and coffee wasn't available at 7 AM, as listed.
