Brilliant stay & location, highly recommend :)

Pros: The hosts made our stay what it was. It was brilliant from start to finish. Kamal & Bertha are wonderful people & we loved staying in their fab lodge overlooking the beautiful volcano :)

We enjoyed or time and would visit again! Highly recommend visiting Bijagua and staying on this property!

Pros: Comfortable house on beautiful property, overlooking the mountains and landscape. Owners and staff were super responsive and helpful. We enjoyed learning about the property and seeing the wild life! We did take advantage of some of the available tours which we highly recommend including the night animal tour with Jonathan, tubing down Rio Celeste with Orca tours and visiting the hanging bridges behind the property. Owners were very knowledgeable and had good recommendations! If you are looking for a good break from beach time with less crowds than La Fortuna, this is the place!

Cons: Location is a bit tricky. It is located on top of a mountain the road of which is in terrible condition and difficult to get to without four wheel drive. It takes around 15-20 mins to get back down to the town so difficult to go back and forth from property. House itself is nice but fairly small..one bathroom and washer/dryer available.

Would definitely stay here again but would avoid the rainy season!

Pros: The grounds are spectacular and the staff is great! The host was very helpful in locating an ophthalmologist for my friend and we were provided with a lot of information. They did a great job of providing a scent- free environment. The kitchen was well- equipped and there was a clothes dryer. The air conditioning was a life saver in the high humidity of the rainy season!

Cons: The twin room had no electrical outlet by the bed and no place to store or hang clothing. I just used the 2nd bed for that but it would have been a big problem if the 3rd person in our party hadn’t canceled. There wasn’t a rack or anything to hang clothes on in the master either. The only really comfortable place to hang out was the deck (great) and the beds…
