Coffee Garden Ranch Costa Rica

A safe apartment with parking and a unique garden

Pros: The property looks better than the pictures. The apartment and parking are very safe behind a gate. We really liked the kitchen that was made of real wood and stone. The coffee garden with spots for meditation is unique. It is nice to walk in this garden. The host speaks English well. There is some coffee and a coffeemaker so you can try the coffee out of the garden. The apartment is located 10 minutes from the Toucan Rescue Ranch. The shower was good.

Cons: The location was a bit hard to find because there was no sign or nameplate. You have to ask the host for specific directions. There is no air conditioning but two fans instead that blow air from outside. The property is in the hills, it is less warm than in San Jose, so we did not need air conditioning. The Vista House nr. 4 has a room divider between the two beds. The apartment would be more suitable for a longer stay if there was a washing machine. Normally we would not choose an apartment without a washing machine because extra suitcases in planes are inconvenient and expensive , but this time the short distance to the Toucan Rescue Ranch was more important.

Very relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings.

Pros: Idyllic gardens with many viewpoints from which to soak in the amazing landscape. Phil is a great host, lovely to chat to and listen to all his stories about the ranch and Costa Rica. His coffee is exceptional. It was the perfect stay for a late afternoon landing at the airport & breaking the journey to Tortuguero or Puerto Viejo.

Cons: Nothing it was all great.

Laid-back stay at a coffee farm in San Isidro

Pros: Stunning location next to the coffee plantations and beautiful coffee farm gardens. Spacious accommodation, perfectly maintained, with all equipment including coffee maker, grinder and beans from the farm. Outdoor terrace and outlook with amazing views. All quite a perfect harmony.

Hidden gem in near San Jose

Pros: Loved the property! So well maintained. The bed, pillows and sofa were very comfortable. The owner is a very laidback, friendly guy. Would recommend! The garden and coffee ranch is AMAZING 😍

Peaceful panoramic view

Pros: I really enjoy the view points inside the property is so nice that you can taste fruits's trees and is a peaceful place, also you can taste de coffee produce in the finca :P thanks Diego!

A very nice place to stay. Includes a nice garde to walk around and a very helpfull host.

Pros: There is a very nice garden (including coffee plant, ....) which can be visited during your stay. Really beautiful. We were also able to test the home grown coffee. Also got some very good recommendations where to go for food by the host.

Pros: La habitación está en una propiedad muy bonita. Tiene muchísimo jardín y unas vistas excepcionales.

Cons: La habitación estaba un poco austera. No me gustó que las toallas estuvieran un poco deterioradas y las sábanas estaban ya viejas.

Pros: Hermosos jardines y senderos, lleno de calma y naturaleza. Apartamento limpio y confortable, es mejor de lo que puedes ver en las fotografías.

Pros: Sus jardines, tienen un excelente cuidado con la naturaleza y el coanfitrión Jackson súper atento y en todo momento estuvo al pendiente de nuestras necesidades es una excelente persona

Cons: La ubicación ya que es confusa para quienes no conocemos la zona

Pros: Sehr schöne Unterkunft im Norden von San Jose. Der Garten ist ein Traum! 🥰 Die Kinder konnten dort gefahrlos rumlaufen und Früchte durften auch gepflückt werden. Der Bungalow ist geräumig und die Terrasse davor lädt zum entspannen ein mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Sogar mit Backofen, den wir aber nicht benutzt haben.

Cons: Uns fehlte ein Esstisch. Man konnte aber an der Kücheninsel essen. Schade ist, dass es keine Tür zwischen Wohnbereich und Schlafzimmer gibt. So ist es sehr hellhörig, wenn die Kinder früher schlafen gehen. Allerdings sind die Wände sowieso nicht bis oben gemauert... 🙃 Die Toilette war 2 mal verstopft, obwohl wir kein Papier hinein geworfen haben. Das Problem wurde aber immer schnell beseitigt. Fairerweise liegt das wohl weniger an der Unterkunft, als an den Abwasserleitungen in Costa Rica allgemein. Diese haben einen viel zu kleinen Durchmesser. Wir hatten dieses Problem in fast jeder unserer Unterkünfte.
