Perfect oasis

Pros: The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. We really really love the small cabana we were in. The nature around the cabana and the food... OMG the food was so good. It's a beautiful place to relax, eat and slow down.

Pros: Despite the less-than-ideal weather, we thoroughly relished our time here. The hosts and staff were exceptionally gracious. The cuisine was delectable and authentically homemade, featuring an abundance of locally sourced ingredients. The garden was exquisite, and the cottages cozy. We would certainly love to return someday.

A little paradise in Costa Rica

Pros: Absolutely friendly staff that answers all your questions and are eager to provide the best service for a fabulous stay. Great dinner options and beautifully located cottages. We were lucky to see toucans while taking a shower and listen to dozens of different bird species in the mornings.

A lovely escape

Pros: Jocky and her mum were brilliant, so helpful and friendly. The gardens were lovely as was the food in the restaurant. Being in such a peaceful location was a great experience.

Cons: The road to the lodge is not good which meant that once we had made it we did not want to drive anywhere else, so you end up having all meals at the lodge as there is nowhere else within walking distance.

Pros: Wonderful wild spot, where you stay in the middle of nature with the soundtrack of birds and monkeys, and no trade-off: room is lovely, bed is comfortable and there's hot shower. Food is delicious and comes in generous portions and hosts are the best! Thank you for a great stay!

Cons: Mmm... We really liked the remoteness, but if you're the kind that need to be more connected - that's not for you. Check arrival times in advance so you won't be surprised.

Pros: We loved this place. It is magical and was my favorite of all the places we stayed in Costa Rica. The staff went out of their way to help us. The food was absolutely delicious. The setting is amazing. We saw toucans and monkeys in the garden. We enjoyed the horse ride.

Cons: Be aware that it is over an hours drive to Rincon de Vieja national park which I hadn't appreciated before hand.

Pros: It was beautifully located , maybe bit tricky to get to on a bumpy road but worth it!, and the cabin was so nice ! The family running it were such nice people and so helpful
