MâpleTico Casita

A truly exceptional host!

Pros: Our stay in the Casita was fantastic- it is centrally located, just a 5 minute walk into town, cosy and felt extremely safe. The casita was very well-equipped with everything you’d need in the kitchen and even a heated blanket, which I made use of as the evenings were chilly! The real highlight was our host Jose, who went out of his way to accommodate us by booking several tours, giving us a lift to dinner and even driving us 40 minutes to meet our minibus driver when he forgot to pick us up!

A gem

Pros: Jose is such a gentleman. Always available to help. Lovely apartment with all that you need to cater for cooking and laundry. Chill outdoor space with hammocks was special. Would certainly recommend to anyone passing this way.

Cons: Loved everything.

Pros: We found coffee for the morning. As well we get opportunity to use the washing machine. The flat was super clean and the host gave us lot information about possible activities .

Hosts make you feel super welcome!

Pros: Above all, the host was exceptionally helpful and responsive (explaining how appliances work, booking tours and transportation) . The place is located in a calm quiet neighborhood. All the facilities were in good conditions and the kitchen was well equipped. Very nice shower! There was a huge outside area with comfy sofas, a big table and hammocks. Good and fast wifi. Washing machine available and free.

Cons: Only the lack of storage for our belongings in the bedroom.

What a wonderful cottage

Pros: The cottage has been thoughtfully put together and has everything you need to enjoy a really wonderful stay in Monteverde. José was a great host, always answering our questions and assisting us when needed. The cottage is very comfortable, is situated in a nice area and the outside veranda is a bonus with the hammocks.

Cons: The cottage could just be ventilated a bit better but once all the windows are open there is no problem at all.

Pros: En líneas generales la casa estaba muy bien, espaciosa

Cons: El espacio para dejar el auto era un poco ajustado

Best place for a stay

Pros: Jose is very helpful, guestfree, friendly, and funny! The place is very cozy and has everything you need. You feel very welcome and at home. The place is very close to shopping and sightseeing but also far enough from center so it's quiet in the evenings, perfect if you like going out but quiet nights. It's very recommendable and we hope to come back. We stayed approx. 1 week and it was awesome

Cons: Nothing to mention here

Pros: We were welcomed by the daughter of our host, Jose. She gave us all the information we needed and was very helpful. Also, Jose helped us book the tours we wanted, and helped us pick the experiences that match our interests. Not only in Monteverde, but also for our next location, he helped us book a great rafting tour. Jose was very helpful, we felt very welcome and it was a beautiful and comfortable stay.
