Idyllic.

Pros: This place was perfect. We've both had a hard and stressful year and we really needed some chill-time. The property was in a peaceful location, right on the beach (a short stroll through the garden, not across a busy road). It was great to get up, and a minute later to be walking on the beach. The beach was quiet and clean. Don't think I ever saw more than a dozen people on it, a lot of the time it was just me. Sunsets were amazing, loved sitting under the trees watching them. Christmas day we had tacos on the beach, which was just right. Hieke and Hans were friendly and welcoming hosts. All in all this was an amazing start to our stay in Costa Rica. If we are ever back in the country we would try and stay here again.

Cons: Hard to fault. I guess my usual quibble (minor but common) is it would be more convenient to have a small table on each side of the bed (for phones, kindles, etc). Also, we weren't sure how to get in to the property when we arrived, there was no bell or even obvious handle, but Heike noticed our arrival and came to greet us.

Pros: A hidden paradise! Absolute peace and relaxation. We had the most wonderful stay at Down by the Sea on Playa Coyote. If you are looking for a place to truly disconnect and recharge, this is it! The beach is breathtaking and, most importantly, very quiet with few tourists, which is a rare find these days. The apartment was perfect – spotless, comfortable, and equipped with everything We needed. We fell in love with the garden; it’s beautifully maintained and clearly a lot of heart goes into it. But what truly made our stay special were the owners. They are such lovely, friendly, and helpful people who make you feel right at home. Don't miss out on the owner’s cafe in a nearby town San Francisco de Coyote - the coffee is delicious, and the homemade cake is a must-try! Thank you for such a relaxing time. We can’t wait to come back one day!

Wohnen im pazifischen Paradies.

Pros: Erster wichtiger Punkt: die Lage ist sensationell, überirdisch, besser, als unsere optimistischsten Fantasien hoffen ließen. Von der Terrasse aus schreitet man durch einen kleinen Garten, öffnet eine Zauntür und befindet sich direkt an einer langen, einsamen, palmenbestandenen Pazifik-Küste . Die Gastgeber Heike und Hans haben dort ein Sonnendach, Stühle und einen Tisch platziert. Die morgendlichen Kaffees, die ich dort jeweils mit meiner Frau getrunken habe, werde ich nie vergessen. Die Gastgeber sind überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit und sprechen Englisch und Deutsch. Die Küchenausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen, alles ist sauber, die Zimmer freundlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

Cons: Wenn ich überhaupt etwas erwähnen sollte, dann dies: Wir hatten 2 Schlafzimmer gebucht. Nun muss man wissen, dass eines dieser Zimmer das \

Pros: Heike und Hans haben einem das Gefühl gegeben, bei Freunden zu Besuch zu sein. Sie haben sich um alles gekümmert. Ihr Frühstückscafé in San Francisco Coyote ist unbedingt zu empfehlen. Wir hatten immer ein super Frühstück.

Cons: Leider mußte man zum Frühstück halt auch ein Stück fahren .Das ist aber in Costa Rica normal.
