Micheck beach house

Nice stay in a typical river and seaside village.

Pros: First impression of the accomodation is not one of coziness because it is somewhat dark inside. However it certainly has all the basic needs, was clean and with good working airco. We were in contact with Brandon as a represensative of the owner and as a local guide, and he has been very helpful from the moment we arrived in Pavona and troughout our entire stay. Arranging the transfer, welcoming us at the dock of Tortuguero accompanying us to the accomodation and offering a variety of excursions.

Cons: During our stay we had a power outage twice due to the thunder and rain. Both lasted at least half a day. However, this had nothing to do with our accomodation because it affected the whole town. In fact our living room had an auxiliary lighting which lasted for a couple of hours during the night. Also keep in mind that they prefere not being paid by credit card, so be sure to cary extra cash.

Pros: If you want to stay in the heart this is the place.

Cons: Bathroom a bit rustic and can get smelly after heavy rain but perfectly usuable. Bit noisy from locals music on Saturday evening but it all finished early and adds to the charm of being right in the community. Difficult to find so make sure you meet the host representative at the port to show you the way.

Pros: The house is super confortable and we loved our breakfasts outside with all the good feeling of the village in front of us. Allan was super nice and everything that we ‘ve asked, he tried to helo us. We totally recommend it!

Pros: The owner was very kind and helpful! Tortuguero is a must visit, if you like staying in remote and peaceful places next to nature.

Pros: Allan and Brandon were very friendly and helpful, with transportation from the harbour, with the tours, and of course with the (spacious) apartment

Pros: La ubicación es excelente. La atención de Alan es genial...ayuda a resolver las inquietudes que uno plantea. Las camas son muy comodas (buenos colchones)

Pros: La ubicación de la casa es excelente. A un paso del embarcadero, a la vuelta de la esquina un supermercado, también a pocos metros restaurantes y bares para comer. Micheck una persona encantadora, nos facilito información útil para nuestra estancia. Durante una excursión nos cayó encima una tormenta terrible y tuvo el detalle de cuando le preguntamos por una lavandería para secar la ropa, se ofreció y nos la seco él. Un detallazo que le agradecimos mucho. Estaba limpia y con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días.

Ein sehr ruhiges und gepflegtes Appartement an bester Lage.

Pros: Ein sehr schönes, ruhig gelegenes und sauberes Appartement praktisch im Zentrum von Tortuguero. 100m zum Strand, 50 m zum Supermarkt. Gegenüber leben Einheimische, die uns sehr freundlich begegnet sind. Am Abend sitzen sie oft zum Essen vor dem Haus und die Kinder erfinden ständig neue Spiele. Genau deshalb haben wir eine Woche hier verbracht, um auch etwas vom Leben hier mit zu bekommen. Das Appartement eignet sich auch bestens als Ausgangspunkt für diverse Aktivitäten bis hin zu gemütlichen Spaziergängen durch das Dorf. Unser Vermieter Alan war immer für uns da. Am letzten Tag hat er uns noch mit selber zubereitetem Fisch und Patacones überrascht. Ein herzliches Danke. Wir können dieses Appartement wärmstens empfehlen.
