Mi Zaru Sea View Hotel Free Park Tour & Breakfast

A lovely, friendly little hotel in a lovely position amongst nature yet in the centre of Manuel Antonio.

Pros: The property was in a very convenient location in the centre of town. Everyone was very friendly and responded to messages very quickly. Carla, the lovely girl who made breakfast and cleaned, was outstanding, so kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel has great views and is surrounded by forest with lots of animals passing through.

Cons: The room was a little shabby and in need of redecoration but probably good value for money.

Stunning breakfast views.

Pros: The views are stunning. Breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful and friendly. Close to great restaurants and not far from the NP.

Cons: Parking is limited. Facilities are basic but very clean.

Pros: I really liked this place! The owner was friendly and gave recommendations as in what to do in the area. There's a bus stop just outside to go to the Manuel Antonio NP or Quepos, and there are many shops, restaurants and even a pharmacy nearby. The breakfast was good, and their landry service was really good and quick as well. The views from outside are amazing! There were also a lot of different animals just walking outside the property during the day. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room, alongside with some cutlery, cups and plates too.

Cons: There's no reception, so when you arrive you need to message the owner, and then wait a bit for someone to check you in ( I didn't know that that's how it worked until I got there so was a little confused - but didn't wait for long, maybe 10 minutes). They are easily reachable on booking.com for any questions or bookings though. I stayed for 3 nights and could not understand how to change the water temperature for the shower.. I might be dumb, but it might be better to double check how it works while someone is showing the room if you're not sure!

Pros: The location was great. Only a short bus ride from Quepos and Manual Antonio national park. Lots of restaurants around. The staff were very friendly and helpful and helped us organize the mangrove tour. The room was great and spacious with a nice outdoor area. Loved the squirrel monkeys coming to visit and the Macaws flying overhead at breakfast time!!

Cons: The shower wasn't very powerful.

A beautiful stay with a poor communication

Pros: The property offered a lovely view from the terrace. The rooms were very clean and included a well-equipped kitchen and air conditioning. We received great recommendations for nearby beaches and restaurants. The lovely lady, who spoke only Spanish, prepared a delicious breakfast and was very helpful throughout our stay.

Cons: The location was a bit difficult to find because Waze and Google Maps showed a different spot than the actual place, at least on my phone. Communication through Booking was bad. We asked three times about the meeting time and place for a night tour, but in the end, nobody showed up, and we waited in vain. Additionally, we were told that we could bring one-way water bottles to Manuel Antonio National Park, but at the entrance, our bags were checked, and we had to throw them away.

Great hotel with an abundance of wildlife!

Pros: Do yourself a favour and book the double deluxe balcony with sea views – the ONLY room worth staying in! (our son stayed in another room and was disappointed with the quality). Daily visits from Capuchin and Squirrel monkeys with Howler monkeys in the trees. Lots of birds and other wildlife in the grounds. Our room was clean, comfortable with a good breakfast and close to everything. The free MA park tour with Manfred was also excellent!

Cons: We enjoyed our stay so it’s difficult to be critical but road noise can be bothersome and housekeeping is inconsistent. No hairdryer and only 1 hangar available. A little more attention to detail would have increased our rating.

Me and my family had an adventurous stay. The park tour and mangrove night tour is the best!!
