Hotel Luna Llena

Amazing location and facility

Pros: The room has AC, which is quite important considering the weather. The room was very clean and away from the main streets. The electric lock saved us from worrying about keys during water activity. The reception was friendly and helpful. They came to ask if we needed help when our shuttle ran late. The pool looked great although we did not use it. It took only 5 minutes to walk to the beach and 10 minutes to walk to the restaurant area. It’s very convenient but still remote from the noise.

Cons: Leafcutter ants entered our room. They were not aggressive and were quite friendly to humans, but still felt a bit nervous to have them in the room.

Pros: Great location for us. Felt away from the busy area but still very close to the beach. Surrounded by trees, with birds and monkeys. Very clean. All staff very friendly.

Pros: Very calm and beautiful hotel. The breakfast is very tasty.

Cons: The only unfortunate thing is, that during low season the pool bar is not operating.

A lovely small boutique hotel. Would come back and stay again.

Pros: A nice small boutique hotel with a smaller number of rooms and located in a great area of Tamarindo. Quiet, but close to town center with shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good and available from 6:30am to 9:30am everyday with 7 or 8 menu items to choose from. The pool was nice and refreshing. There was 24 hour security and the rooms had security boxes. We stayed in a bungalow with two beds (two singles up and one king down), kitchen and bathroom. The bungalow had a full size fridge, gas stove and microwave. There were cutlery, pots and other kitchen items. There was daily maid service and they provided beach and pool towels.

Cons: The lounge chairs around the pool were nice to have, but they were all wood and didn't have any cushions. It might have been because it was raining a lot on and off, but when you lounged in them they were uncomfortable.

Budget stay in Tamarindo

Pros: Good location, excellent facilities and variety of breakfast with a super big deep pool with bar

Good location, small issues

Pros: We liked the pool and the location. It was close enough to the beach, maybe a 5 minutes walk. The room was big and the aircon worked perfectly. We liked our stay and would book it again. The bed was very comfortable.

Cons: If the water is not working, it's the water pump. You need to ask at the front desk. It's OK that water is not always available, but we had to ask twice to have someone over to restart the water pump. It did work afterwards. Do it otherwise, the water will not work properly. Some of the facilities didn't work, like the coffee maker, we helped ourselves and mentioned it at the front desk, didn't help. The breakfast was rather limited, in comparison to where had stayed (for less). Staff was available more than I had read about.

Wish we were back at Luna Llena!

Pros: We had a great stay at Luna Llena and look forward to returning! The short walk to the beach and restaurants, the comfy and clean bungalow and mostly the magnificent care from management team Russell and Katarine made for the best vacation! Pura Vida!

Cons: We were very well looked after.....no complaints!

Pros: The Manager Russel was perfect! Very friendly and helpfull. Organized everything.
