The most stunning views in a cute little room perfect for a family

Pros: Wow! What can I say, this place is a little piece of heaven on earth. You pull up by boat to your destination, your room backs onto the lake as you view the last thing you see before you sleep and the first thing you see when you wake up. The rooms are small but very cleverly done, with a little upstairs area providing a second bed, perfect for our family. With coffee making facilities, a fridge, and plates to make snacks and a good shower ! Everyone was super helpful and Nathalia and Daniel were lovely! Thanks all for the most wonderful time in Tortugero

Cons: It is noisy in the mornings with trips starting at 5.30 right outside your door! Luckily we still haven’t adjusted at all to times and we’re awake by 4.30am

Pros: The view is incredible, with a balcony directly on the river. The hotel is located at the center and the staff was friendly.

Cons: The bathroom is a bit tiny, with not a lot of space.

Good stay and tour operator

Pros: Great stay for your busy schedule in Tortuguero. The hotel is also a tour operator, so you can book everything with them. Room was good, but maybe could use a little refresh.

Cons: It’s located on the main street, which means you are in a busy area. There was a lot of noice in the evening. Also having the tours start in front of your window at 5am in the morning every day is not the greatest.

Amazing staff, amazing place

Pros: Amazing place, with beautiful views of the national park of Tortuguero. The hotel is in close proximity to the shopping street of Tortuguero. Natalia made our stay even more amazing, she was very helpful and friendly and gave us a warm welcome.

Pros: Directly at the river and the room is really nice. The tours we booked with the hotel were really good as well. The communication before arriving was easy and fast.

Pros: Central location, right on the river. Easy to get to from La Pavona. Friendly staff.

Cons: The pictures of the rooms were a bit misleading, especially the upper part of the room had a lower ceiling than expected from the pictures and the our room did not have a balcony.

Good for a night

Pros: The view was stunning, just at the river, next to the harbor (not even 200m) and in the very « city center ». The second bed located at the window is definitely a big bonus of this location and the AC was enough to cool down all the areas. We spent a lot of time in the room due to the weather and we enjoyed it. It was clean but it could be for sure improved (AC remote control, windows)

Cons: It was pretty loud and our room was located next to the lobby area and we could hear everything clearly. It is also important to mention that due to heavy rainfalls the area was completely flooded, as well as the streets. This meant that it was impossible to access the rooms without standing almost knee high in the water. Maybe a small pump would be helpful to keep it dry at least in the hotel area. The biggest issue was then (irrelevant of the flooding) that the rooms were accessible only by passing by the very left rooms, so ours, and we could hear everyone and you needed to almost balance yourself to get to the rooms. We did not appreciate at all that there is a system of sharing the hotel guest names to the parking at La Pavona harbor, which all in all felt a big scam. Also once we arrived, the (very kind) stuff started to offer us tours from them at three different prices that changed throughout our conversation and timeline.
