Isla Violin Eco-Lodge

A wonderful remote place to stay in the middle of the forest.

Pros: Only sounds were natural including Carlos talking to the trees. The cabin had what we needed in it. Comfotable beds with good mosquito net's allthough not much evidence of Mosquitos during our stay. Rustic seats were a little uncomfotable but looked nice. The Food was very good and plentiful. Kayak tour of the Mangroves was good it would be easy to get lost without a guide. Mangrove tour on the boat was excellent. Pick up and drop off by the owner was worth doing as there is less reliance on tide times and public shuttle boat timings.. Very informative despite a slight language barrier.

Cons: It is a steep climb up to the lodge from the boat landing on narrow concrete steps. Something to be aware of if you are a little shakey on your legs.

If you like quiet, wild and a bit of adventure, this is for you!

Pros: Very basic, but absolutely quiet, out in nature, so well worth staying here. The family is very nice and helpful and nature is abundant. I saw sloths, armadillos and lots of birds. After a good 30-45min hike (steep up- and downhill) you get to a lovely beach where you most likely will be by yourself.

Cons: It‘s off the Sierpe River, so be aware that you might have to kayak out when low tide. I loved the „adventure“ and thought it was fun…🤩

Pura Natura mit Freiluftdusche

Pros: Total urig und mitten in der Natur. Es ist alles da, was man braucht, sogar Wifi. Die Familie ist sehr freundlich, man wird mit essen gut versorgt und nachts höher man den Dschungel. Es kann passieren, dass es beim Outdoor-Duschen regnet, aber Klo und Waschbecken ist unter Dach 😉 Carlos bringt einen sicher mit dem Kajak durch die Mangroven, ein echtes Abenteuer dieseR Ort!

Cons: Es ist empfehlenswert ein eigenes Moskitozelt / Netz für die Nacht mitzubringen. Wir hatten eines mit und Ich würde es nicht missen wollen!

This is a stay you won't forget!

Pros: My wife and I loved our stay. The mangrove tour was a must. This a very unique and beautiful place. Food was well priced and delicious. Their meals are the only option for food, but they were great. There some great hikes in the area. Keep in mind, most hikes here are muddy and steep. Wear good boots. Hike to the secluded beach and swim there! We were treated very well and felt like part of the family.

Cons: Language barriers were a bit of a problem, but we made it work. Make sure you have a translation app downloaded if you need it. The wifi was working, but not super fast. Things are pretty steep and slippery here. Again, good boots help. Bring a headlamp for walking to dinner in the evening. Power is from battery and solar. Dont expect AC, tons of lights or fans. All of these things aren't negative, but should be expected when seeking a memorial, authentic experience.

Pros: Bereits die Bootsfahrt durch die Mangroven war ein Erlebnis (wenn auch für 5 Personen nicht ganz günstig). Trotzdem ist eine private Abholung absolut empfehlenswert. Die Lage der Lodge mitten im Dschungel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir wurden morgens schon von den Brüllaffen geweckt und haben viele Tiere und exotische Pflanzen gesehen. Die Mahlzeiten waren alle reichlich und super lecker. Es gab immer frische Säfte und Wasser. Die Unterkünfte sind eher einfach, aber sauber. Das Drumherum könnte man mit ein paar Handgriffen und Kleinigkeiten leicht aufhübschen. Die Familie war super nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Es war ein richtiges Erlebnis!
