Casa Frangipani

We didn’t want to leave this gorgeous place - run by the loveliest on site team. We want to return!

Pros: It was a beautiful location, up in the trees looking down over the sea. The welcome was so lovely- thank you to the people on-site - who were so friendly and look after the beautiful garden and properties with much care. We had a one bedroom villa with stunning views and were right next to monkey’s and birds and iguanas. We felt so relaxed and didn’t want to leave. There is so much to do in the area - waterfalls, horse-riding and the most stunning beach walks- eg playa grande.

Cons: Nothing - it was perfect for us.

Pros: Absolutely stunning spot with views down to the sea , peaceful and lovely quiet pool

Cons: No problem but you need a car to drive up/ down the steep hill to the beach

Great Place to stay in Montezuma!

Pros: We loved Casa Frangilani. The location and set up were amazing. The pool was very nice and the grounds were very well kept. We would love to come back if we were back in Costa Rica!

Cons: Access road is pretty rough, but nothing unusual for Costa Rica.

Perfect stay in Montezuma

Pros: Pool was great with amazing views. The apartment was beautifully furnished and had daily cleaning. Set amongst the forest there was plenty of wildlife on show. Montezuma was super chilled - we loved it

Cons: Further from town than we'd realised.

Paradise - we absolutely loved it. Gorgeous setting and so comfortable.

Pros: Casa Frangipani is just beautiful- it exceeded our expectations. The villa was perfect for our family of our four. The pictures don’t actually do it justice. The two outside terraces have stunning views, with the pool area and other communal spaces you’re spoilt for choice! Very friendly welcome from Wilmer, the caretaker. His English was limited but he was nonetheless very helpful and keeps the property spotless. Easy access to downtown for bars and restaurants. I just wished we were staying here longer.

Amazing stay, super attentive staff/owners, best views in Montezuma from your own balcony.

Pros: Amazing location, view from the balcony and the swimming pool was incredible, listening and watching wildlife from balcony, great pool, great size room, super lovely staff who went above and beyond when there was an unexpected power surge. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Cons: There were issues with the power lines in the street (unpredictable power surge) which knocked out our air con and use of our stove. I cannot fault the staff and owner though as they did everything they could to fix it and even went out and bought a new portable stove for us to use and portable fans to cool us down. Then for the inconvenience they refunded half our money. We didn’t even complain to them, they just did it. Exceptional care and service.

Pros: Casa Frangipani exceeded our expectations. The villa was of a high standard and clean and comfortable, the on site staff were polite and helpful even accompanying us on a walk to the waterfalls to show us the way, we were so grateful. The grounds and views were beautiful we felt like we were in a little slice of paradise. The only noise was the sound of monkeys and birds. We didn’t want to leave. We’re a family of 3 with a 7 year old child, we loved spending time in the pool, which was clean and a perfect temperature.

Cons: There was nothing to dislike.

We want to come back already

Pros: Casa Frangipani is a wonderful place. The villas and pool area are beautiful - the view is out of this world. It's so special to watch birds and monkeys in the trees. The hosts are extremely warm and helpful.

Cons: The road was being maintained as we left but because of the recent rain it was very bumpy. It wasn't a problem for us as we hired a 4x4, but I would say that its essential to have a car for going down to Montezuma - but it's what you have to do for such a lovely location.
