Guest House Pura Vida

Pros: Jorge is the nicest man- he was very kind to us, makes sure everything is comfortable and ready, in the morning he makes freshly brewed coffee and serves fruit. The rooms are spacious, bed is comfortable and you have everything what you need for the best Pura Vida experience in Costa Rica

Pros: The owners are the nicest people ever! Chill & relaxed, and after a long day in the national park, they offered me to use the swimming pool in one of their villas that wasn’t occupied at that moment. A little paradise in Quepos!

Cons: All was (very) good!

Pros: Everything was very clean. The bungalow was nicely sized, giving very good privacy. Very nice shared kitchen with all utensils one may need and complementary fruit in the morning. The owner is very kind! Extra points, because there were doggos.

Pros: A simple, very clean accommodation with truly unmatched hospitality. Jorge is fully dedicated to his work; he provides helpful information, is always willing to assist, and makes the experience exceptional from the very first moment. The room was spotless, and the common areas were very tidy and clean. It is located in a local neighborhood, so you may hear some natural sounds, but it is not bothersome at all; on the contrary, it adds a special charm to the place. We were lucky to see scarlet macaws and monkeys while enjoying the breakfast they prepare themselves — the best traditional Costa Rican breakfast we had during our trip.

Jorges Paradise

Pros: We stayed in the deluxe bungalow and it was absolutely incredible. Upon arrival, Jorge and Pamela welcomed us warmly and gave us great tips for excursions in the area. The tiny house was beautifully furnished with lots of attention to detail, and it had everything we needed. It was also very clean. Jorge invited us for coffee and showed us the animals around the guest house. The entire property was well maintained and spotless. A wonderful little paradise.

Cons: Nothing!

“A small oasis in a local neighborhood.”

Pros: Beautiful place surrounded by nature and animals such as monkeys, macaws, iguanas, and others. Molly is a lovely dog. I would definitely return to this accommodation. Keep in mind that there are different types of rooms, so make sure you book the right one. In our case, we booked an economy room that was very clean and had everything needed for a good stay (hot water, air conditioning, and a private bathroom). We then stayed 2 more nights directly with them in a larger and better room, with a view on the second floor, for the same price.

Amazing place to stay!

Pros: This place is beautiful and the people are very welcoming and helpful. They gave us great recs about where to eat, good view points and a mangrove tour. The room was comfortable (we booked with AC) and everything was exceptionally clean. The bathroom had hot water which is not always a given in Costa Rica. There is a very cool shared kitchen that is well equipped. We saw little monkeys right outside our room and a lot of birds and butterflies. There is a spot to park your car.

Cons: For us everything was perfect. I would say if you don’t have a car it might be a bit more challenging to reach.

Pros: Great owner, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately our AC was broken, but they provided a fan instead.
