Canavida Villas & Resort

Pros: Location was incredible although it was a bit of drive (around 20min off road) it was totally worth it every time! The place had great vibes, the swimming pool had an amazing view over the sea and the stuff was super helpful and welcoming 🙏

Cons: The water from the shower was often coming either cold or super hot so was hard to have a relaxing shower.

Pros: Great view. Beautiful accommodation. Private and well appointed. Nice staff. Very helpful and attentive. Private pool is great. It's a great place.

Cons: The 4km drive up the mountain to our villa from Uvita is very bad (understatement). We had a 4x4. Get one if you plan to go. Also, don't plan to sit outside at night. Swarm of seccattas on the patio. Unfortunate.

A getaway villa surrounded by nature

Pros: Beautiful 2 bedroom villa with a lovely pool and amazing views of the sunset. We were surrounded by nature and had lots of birds visit - more than any other location we visited. Also go visit the Uvita waterfall for a fabulous natural water slide!

Cons: It’s 10 minutes up a a steep gravel road which was daunting the first time we drove up but actually was fine. I was glad we had a SUV though. However, this just does mean you truly can get away from it all…and did I mention the nature ❤️

Pros: The property is stunning overlooking Uvita. I stopped in a condo and each one had a stunning view. There was so much wildlife surrounding the villas (Coatis, Capuchin Monkeys, many Toucans, Vultures and Macaws). Property was clean comfortable and well equipped. Hosts were on it too, and offered a service to deliver groceries/drinks if you didn't fancy the trip down the hill.

Cons: As the condos all opened up onto the same garden area, there were times where there was little privacy. The road in was adventurous, fine in a 4×4 though - there is a supermarket just before the turn off, I recommend stocking up first then enjoying a relaxing stay.

Wonderful

Pros: The location, the staff and the owner. Very cosy, lovely and wonderful stay.

Cons: They communicate and message a lot, via booking message, via whatsapp. It was okish, but somewhat to much for me personally. Can imagine that others would like that.

Unique well equipped private villa with amazing views

Pros: The location of the villa (we had the “kolibri lovenest”) was amazing! Great views over the sea and Forrest. Personal service was excellent and beyond our expectations.

Cons: I would advise a 4x4 to get there, because the road is ok, but it’s steep and can be slippery when it rains.

What a beautiful spot with amazing views.

Pros: Where to start …everything is great in those newly build condos. Well equipped kitchen, superb pool and views, and great staff. You can truly feel the love that has gone into building this place. We would definitely come back.

Cons: Depending on the time of the year and the amount of rain, the road can become really challenging, so to be on the safe side, make sure to have a 4x4 and do not even think about booking it if you only have a regular car. However, Alberto, Jess and their team are very supportive and go the extra mile to ensure that you have a great experience. Also make sure to go to the supermarket before driving up, the ride can easily take 25 min and you will not do this more than twice a day.

Wonderful little piece of jungle paradise!

Pros: The house is very comfortable with beautiful views to the sea and surrounded by the jungle. We loved watching and hearing the birds including toucans every day. The outdoor area is comfortable with plenty of seating in the shade if you want. Comfortable heads, good AC and well stocked kitchen. The provided coffee was a nice touch. The staff were available when needed. We slowed into a relaxed pace of life and loved our pool. We visited the NP beach and walked the whale tail at low tide, ate in and wandered around Uvita, visited a lovely soda in Ojochal and had a fantastic afternoon at the local Cararata falls. The kids loved jumping in off the platform! We used the BM supermercado which was well stocked. The drive to and from the property was fine and easy to do in a 4x4 but was a consideration as we only wanted to do it once a day.

Cons: Just needs some hangers in the little wardrobes and some hooks for coats etc

Excellent

Pros: Fantastic location, the view was amazing. The apartment is well equipped and has everything needed for a great stay. The road in is 6km of really, really rough road. When we arrived we realised that there is no restaurants nearby and had to drive back down the really rough road to get some food.

Paradise near Uvita!

Pros: Beautiful place, a patch of paradise in Costa Rica. The view, the wildlife, the immaculate condos, and the staff went far beyond our expectations. We spent 6 weeks travelling all over Costa Rica and stayed in lots of different accommodations. Canavida was by far our favourite place! 😍
