Celeste Mountain Lodge

Excellent place to stay with beautiful gardens close to Rio Celeste waterfall.

Pros: Location excellent less than 10 minutes from the Rio Celeste waterfall, and two minutes drive to the Tapir Valley reserve. The garden and valley which the rooms overlooked was very beautiful and the gardens were extremely well maintained with a bird feeder at eye-level with the Restaurant refilled each morning. The breakfast and bar area overlooking the garden was very pleasant to sit in and read or eat. All the rooms overlook the garden. The private trail just across the road was very pleasant to do first thing in the morning - it was steep in places. Breakfast was excellent consisted of a large bowl of fruit, porridge, scrambled egg and home-made bread.Really lovely place to stay.

Cons: The light in the room was a little dim to read. There was no kettle in the room, but hot water was available next to the bathroom throughout the day.

Pros: Very creative , complimenting the breathtaking surroundings. The owner was such a wonderful person and the staff were so obliging. Wonderful indoor/outdoor feel to the place.

Pros: The Staff and the Owner were very nice, helpful and understanding. We got tips, what to do and where to go for dinner, if we want to eat somewhere else. The food in their own restaurant was good, but most important was that everything was fresh, self-made and good taste.

Very beautiful and peaceful lodge with the kindest staff

Pros: The main host was such a nice guy and was super helpful. This lodge is very responsibly run and operates in a very eco friendly way

Overnight close to La Fortuna

Pros: It was not luxury resort but really great place close to national park La Fortuna. Beautiful view on the garden and amazing breakfast & food.
