Truly wonderful place!
Pros: It was our last place that we stayed while exploring Costa Rica and it was a wonderful end to our adventure. The room was very spacious, with great shower and amazing view. There is a bar and restaurant on the premises with dish choices that will suit everyone ( my partner is a very picky eater and he found something for his taste buds everyday) Ocean is at your doorstep with lovely beach. Staff is very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Some reviews I have read about the hotel mentioned atrocious road to the property . That is an exaggeration. The road is rather bumpy for around 3-4 km not 15 miles . I would definitely stay at this hotel again, we have had stupendous times!

Pleasant and enjoyable stay in a family atmosphere
Pros: The hotel provided exactly the retreat we needed. The beach just below the hotel is lovely. I could reach it easily even though I had a bad case of sciatica at the time. Breakfast was freshly made. We didn't need any of the nearby restaurants and had all dinners in the hotel. Specifically Isaac from the staff helped a lot. But the owners couple, who run the hotel as their calling not primarily a business and everyone working there gave us the impression we were part of the community of this family-run place. The last 20 km road there are in rough shape, but a higher clearance vehicle works. The locals don't even need that. For roads in Costa Rica, I would recommend, get the app WAZE, which is accurate and current.
Cons: I couldn't come up with anything negative. I was reading reviews complaining about tropical animals. Well, it is a tropical place. We were amazed by the howler- monkeys, iguanas, vultures and other animals.

Great beach for relaxing, snorkeling, enjoying the sun. Good food with friendly, helpful staff.
Pros: Super friendly, helpful staff. Provided the extra help we needed happily. Loved watching the different animals during breakfast.
Cons: To know ahead of time the type & length of road to access the beautiful property.

Small perfectly run hotel in a stunning location ❤️
Pros: Beautifully tranquil hideaway with the beach on the doorstep. Breakfast was fantastic. The restaurant was very good too, from local dishes to the most delicious pizzas. Isaac, Xavier and the team were most welcoming and friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay very relaxed and memorable. Thank you!

Beautiful place with great seaview!
Pros: Wonderful location, we were given the best room with an amazing seaview. Birds everywhere, howling monkeys and lots of monitor lizards. A very good Peruvian (fish) restaurant just around the corner. Breakfast is served outside, and was very diverse and always fresh!
Cons: A pity that our arrival in the evening was made difficult due to the absence of a sign indicating the entrance of the hotel. We had to call to have the guidance needed, even with the car navigation it was hard to find. Please put up a sign!

Beautiful modern rooms in the middle of nowhere
Pros: Beautiful modern rooms at a secluded beach-side village. The tiny village of San Juanillo is a welcome retreat from busy tourist towns. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. The Cocobolo Beach Boutique hotel offers modern amenities, beautiful rooms, and a great restaurant and bar just uphill from a small secluded public beach. I wish we had planned to stay longer.

Tolles Hotel mit tollen Zimmern und gutem Essen.
Pros: Wir haben ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht. Da es aber völlig zugewachsen war hat man das Meer gar nicht gesehen. Freundlicherweise hat man uns ein gratis Upgrade gemacht. Wunderschönes Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick! Fantastisch!

Ein Genuss!
Pros: Wunderbares Frühstück, sehr schön eingerichtetes Zimmer, toller Blick aufs Meer, ruhig und zugleich gut angeschlossen an sehr gutes Restaurant. Freundliches Personal, entgegenkommend, aufmerksam.
