Hotel Arenal Country Inn

Would recommend

Pros: Good location and walkable into the town centre with the majority of the walk on a pavement but small part of the walk into town on the fairly busy road. Basic furnishings but clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast with friendly staff. Would recommend overall. Very powerful and hot shower.

Pros: Great room, nice breakfast, amazing pool and view.

Pros: Very comfortable rooms/ villas. Good breakfast. Outstanding garden all around and marvelous bird concerts. Little inconvenience: quite noisy road close to the hotel.

Pros: The grounds and pool area are absolutely lovely. A little oasis in the jungle. Rooms were basic but clean and bathrooms look to have been recently updated. Walking distance to a couple of restaurants.

Cons: Nothing really. The outer door on our unit was hard to unlock but we managed.

Thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend.

Pros: Staff were very welcoming and obliging. Assisted with tours and information. Grounds were beautifully maintained adding to a peaceful ambience. Loved the repurposed breakfast area. Close to town but removed from noise. Clean and comfortable. Pool fantastic. Would re commend.

Beautiful surroundings and great staff

Pros: The staff were excellent and the Grounds and swimming pool were very good.

Cons: The room shower. Extra instructions given but how to use it wasn’t the problem. It was the fluctuating water temperature.

Good sized room and pool, great breakfast, helpful receptionist

Pros: Large pool, with a great view of Volcan Arenal. Great breakfast, friendly and very helpful receptionist. Comfortable beds. Spacious bathroom and shower. Spotted blue jeans frogs in the grounds! Walking times approx 5 min to El Salto, 5 min to supermarket, 10-15 min to town, 10 min to Arenal Mundo for ziplining.

Cons: Nowhere to hang wet clothes (either from a dip in the pool or from getting caught in a downpour!). Small outside (sheltered) space out front of our room, too much of a squeeze for 4 people to sit comfortably at the small table.

Wonderful stay in stunning grounds

Pros: Grounds were stunning teaming with wildlife we saw toucans , Jesus Christ lizards and lots of lizards and birds. Breakfast was plentiful pool was always quiet and perfect for a dip after a long day out hiking. Room was spotless and toiletries provided. Kettle and pool towels provided for a deposit Location brilliant 500m for el salto swing and river and about 5 mins walk into La fortuna.

Cons: Nothing it was a brilliant start to our holiday would highly recommend. Bring flipflops to walk round pool tho as concrete is a little rough on the feet.

Lovely hotel in luscious scenery

Pros: The setting is lovely and the grounds are stunning with a view of the volcano from the pool area which is gorgeous. You’re an easy transfer from all tours.

Cons: The bungalows are positioned right by the road, so it was very noisy.
