Lovely, but not the peak of luxury

Pros: The hotel and grounds are very beautiful. We wandered the property and enjoyed the bird watching. We also had a lovely horse ride through the nearby coffee plantations. Dinner at the restaurant was lovely and we had fun playing pool beforehand. This is definitely a special place to spend time at.

Cons: We opted for the junior suite and the bathroom was in quite poor condition. It's not up to date, but the issue was mostly that it was mildewy, kind of grimy, and the tub drained very poorly such that a short shower resulted in standing in water. We were a bit disappointed too that the balcony had a lot of bird poop on it. And the outdoor cushions both on the balcony and at the pool seemed to be suffering a lot from grime.

Wonderful stay on our tour

Pros: The hotel was exceptionally beautiful. We felt like we had been transported back 100 years, but with modern-day comforts. A pearl in the interior of Costa Rica. The service was very good.

Wonderful stay, food, staff and setting!

Pros: We love coming to Casa Turire - whether it's for lunch, overnight, or coffee and the amazing desserts (the Sugar Cane Elado is incredible and an original by the chef!). The building has lots of areas to explore, relax, read from, or work from, and our room had a balcony which was gorgeous in the morning. The grounds are gorgeous with trails and beautiful views. The staff were fantastic, and I booked in for a massage which was heavenly, too.

Cons: Nothing, we loved it and will be back soon!
