Terrific lodge accommodation

Pros: Excellent staff, very helpful, great rooms and service. Amazing views and fire box heating. Excellent food.

Cons: Bedroom was under heated for the unseasonably cold weather.

Lovely stay in a nice cozy place

Pros: Quiet location with amazing surroundings, super nice staff and you can have a drink around the fireplace The food at the restaurant was really good too

Cons: Room decor is a bit outdated but that’s picking really - overall we’d recommend to anyone

Pros: Beautiful design and location, with lovely hiking trails. Charming room. Very good breakfast and nice restaurant, great pool table.

Cons: It was very cold, especially on the first night when it was windy. I read that there are fireplaces, but there are actually these small stoves that you can't really get warm with. There are electric blankets in the room, but in our opinion it shouldn't be so cold, especially for this price. Bring very warm clothes!

Beautiful views and serene surroundings

Pros: Amazing views of the valley and the volcano. Great little café nearby with milkshakes, and we ended up walking right next to the local cows on our way back. Really likes the common areas in the house as well!

Cons: A bit cold inside, prepare with clothes. We were waiting a while for our breakfast in the morning despite specifying time. Got a bit tight for the time set for going up to the volcano.

Lovely property in a convenient location.

Pros: Beautiful peaceful location. Great place to relax with lots of comfortable seating in the public areas with games room and TV room The restaurant is very good with great views when not cloudy. Easy drive to Poas volcano and waterfalls.

Pros: Good location, good food but restaurant very cold in November. Rooms and particular beds very comfortable and showers good and hot. Bedrooms bit too cold in November. We appreciated the walking trails and the loan of wellie boots by the hotel as trail was very muddy. Good location for boating volcano.

Gorgeous country lodge

Pros: We had a lovely stay at this lodge, 2 nights just after arriving into San Jose. When we arrived we walked along the trails around this grounds which was really lovely, we were the only ones so felt like we had the jungle to ourselves. Took around 2 hours and some parts are very steep! We saw armadillos! The room was lovely and felt secluded. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights, the seabass was delicious. The communal areas are so nice, they put the fire on in the evenings making it cosy. We went to La Paz waterfall gardens which was amazing (so many hummingbirds!). Service was great, they arranged all our transport for us. Would highly recommend. We stayed in the king room (room 7) and it was lovely

Cons: Only downside is everything feels quite damp and nothing dries, but we had a heater in our room which helped.
