Rafiki Safari Lodge

Pros: The setting in the edge of the forest with birds and wildlife able to be viewed from the large dining balcony. The rent rooms were great, the rafting was spectacular

Pros: Amazing place to stay! We had two nights and saw so much wildlife - sitting on our deck overlooking the pond we spent ages watching huge iguanas in the trees, loads of birds and even a Basilisk Lizard running across the water! The safari tents are really comfortable - fab beds, proper hot showers and plenty of space. I had a bit of a concern about the amount of creepy crawlies we might have in/around the tents but the mesh netting kept everything out (we saw plenty of insect life on the trails but nothing in or around the tents!). The big communal deck is also fab - the first night there was a huge storm and we sat having dinner while the thunder and lightning raged around us and bats flew round overhead - a really magical experience. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. The pool and waterslide were a big hit with the kids too!

Incredible experience in paradise

Pros: This place was the BEST part of our 3 week holiday to Costa Rica. My only regret was that i wish we could have stayed longer. It was simply Magical

Pros: Das Zelt war sehr sauber und äußerst komfortabel. Die Aussicht von der eigenen Terrasse war traumhaft. Die Wanderwege auf dem Hotelgelände waren ebenfalls sehr gut. Pool mit Rutsche war etwas besonderes.

Cons: Das im Preis enthaltene Frühstück war etwas langweilig, wenig Auswahl. Das Abendessen ist von Auswahl und Qualität ausbaubar. Vor allem zum aufgerufenen Preis.

Ótima localização, experiência interessante

Pros: Ótima localização. O hotel proporciona uma experiência interessante, os bangalôs são confortáveis. Não há TV ou ar condicionado, mas os ventiladores são suficientes.

Cons: Não há muito o que fazer no hotel em si, então a ideia é aproveitar cerca de três dias para fazer as atividades (pagas à parte) disponibilizadas, como rafting e caminhadas. A piscina é pequena e fria, não é um hotel para passar-se tempo na piscina. As refeições são boas, também por um custo à parte, como o hotel é bastante afastado, não há outros locais próximos para as refeições. O caminho para a chegada ao hotel é estreito, se for de carro atente para programar a sua chegada antes do entardecer e use um veículo robusto (preferencialmente com tração 4x4).

Endroit enchanteur

Pros: Emplacement extraordinaire. Difficile d’accès mais cela en vaut la peine. Tentes très belles et confortables. Nous avons fait du rafting. C’était top!

Pros: Mitten in der Natur und doch der Luxus von einem Hotel.

Cons: Die Strasse hoch war wie auch beschrieben recht holprig, jedoch gut machbar.

Dépaysement

Pros: Le petit déjeuner avec une vue incroyable, les oiseaux qui mangent aussi sur leurs branches, les papillons partout. Les tentes sont spacieuses et vraiment bien occultantes (ce qui n’est vraiment pas tjrs le cas). Endroit paisible qui invite à la détente et la déconnexion

Cons: La route pour arriver est très longue hors de sentiers battus: étroite, caillouteuse, pas de réseau mais les petits panneaux encourageants sont agréables (et rassurants la nuit). Il faut un 4x4

Pros: Wunderschöner Ort mitten in der Natur. Sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Freundliche, hilfsbereite Mitarbeitende. Möglichkeit einen kleinen Regenwaldweg zu wandern.

Tolle Lage und super Aussicht in die Natur!

Pros: Die Fahrt mit dem eigenen 4x4 war gut machbar. Die Lodge liegt ruhig, mitten in der Natur. Wir haben gelernt, dass eine Familie aus Südafrika vor über 20 Jahren das Land gekauft hat und den Regenwald zurück bringt. Die 3 Söhne sind Biologen und machen da ihre eigenen Naturschutzprojekte. Es gibt Trails zum Wandern und Reiten. Wir haben es genossen (beim 2 stündigen Ausritt waren wir nur zu viert inkl. Führer und Pferdebesitzer). Man zahlt vielleicht etwas mehr, aber es ist auch toll, was sie da leisten!

Cons: Es dürfte mehr costarikanisches Essen geben.
