Hacienda Baru

Pros: Nice big room Big pool Beautiful grounds and access to the trails.

Thank you Hacienda Baru for a memorable stay, we will be back again.

Pros: We liked the breakfast. The lodge has spectacular wildlife on its estate - this being rewilded pastureland. The view across the beach to the Pacific Ocean is wonderful.

Cons: The fan in our bedroom was feeble and very noisy.

Pros: Great cabins, many fans, lovely swimming pool and walks in forest property. Good restaurant, and good waiter.

Pros: Fabulous location surrounded by nature, very friendly staff, lots of options for nature walks, and explore the Central Pacific region, just off the road, but felt secluded!

Best of both worlds at Hacienda Baru: nature & comfort at a great deal

Pros: This place is a fantastic deal! Great rooms, great pool, a few feet from forest trails swarming with wildlife (monkeys, coatis, pecaris, tucans, even sloths). We really enjoyed the morning walks in the forest trails before breakfast. Nearby Dominical is super cute and less crowded than other places in the area, with a great beachfront. If you are planning to be in the area, you cannot go wrong with Hacienda Baru

Cons: The restaurant was closed for dinner during our stay. But breakfasts were great.

Amazing place perfect for relaxation and experiencing nature!

Pros: Rooms were cosy and better than we expected. Pool was amazing and we spent quite some time just relaxing next to it. Restaurant was very nice with decent selection of dishes. We did a birding tour and guide Juan Carlos was very experienced and professional. We walked some trails and they also exceed our expectations as we have seen lots of birds, monkeys and even peccaries. Staff is just amazing! My mum suddenly had red and swollen feet and they drove us to Dominical to see the doctor (fortunately it was just a bad sunburn!) Marino Bellena National Park is just 25 mins drive away. We would really recommend it for a day trip. Just check the tides before going there, you would need to be there during low tide to get to the whale's tail.

Cons: The only thing I can think of absence of air-conditioning. We knew about this when we made booking, so this is not a complaint. There has been 3 fans in the room, which was absolutely enough for me. However, my mum who is 64 was struggling with the heat. Something for you to be aware of.

Pros: The area is stunning. The pool was a welcome bonus from the heat. The accomadation net our needs.

Cons: The cooking facilities were not very good,very small area and vv hot.

Pros: L'accueil est chaleureux. Se réveiller aux chants des oiseaux et admirer les Agoutis dans le jardin prendre leur petit-déjeuner font que la journée commence bien. L'endroit est parfaitement entretenu et de toute beauté. Nous avons profité d'un massage relaxant en plein plein air, un pur moment de détente. La visite du Parc Barù est splendide nous y avons rencontré un paresseux et son bébé, des singes, des coatis, des Agoutis, des Pécaris et de nombreux oiseaux.

Naturparadies mit vielen Tieren

Pros: Wir hatten einen Bungalow mit großer angrenzender Wiese beim Pool, schöner Poolbereich mit Liegen. Das Hotelgelände ist sehr groß und bietet einige Wanderwege, wo wir auch viele Tiere gesehen haben. Zum Meer geht man etwa 10 Minuten, schwimmen ist dort aber aufgrund von Strömungen nicht erlaubt. Zum Frühstück muss man aus einigen Alternativen auswählen, man kann im Restaurant auch Abendessen.

Cons: Man hört die Straße leider recht laut. Touren sind hier noch deutlich teurer als in anderen Orten (zB 2-stündige Night Tour für 88 USD pro Person)
