Stunning private villa in the Monteverde area
Pros: This stunning villa offers the ideal mix of modern amenities and cosy charm, especially the fireplace and window sofa. The hosts were exceptionally responsive, friendly, and helpful. An absolute gem and a perfect private sanctuary in the Monteverde area.
Cons: Nothing to dislike - just note that a car is highly recommended due to the hilly terrain and limited walkability.

Beautiful forest oasis, with great design and details.
Pros: These villas are stunning. Great location, great design and clear communication with the owner. Very much left to our own devices, in fact we didn't actually see anyone, but this actually added to the sense that we were alone in our cabin in the jungle. A really special little oasis in the heart of the cloud forest. We had a car, so driving into monteverde was necessary but we wanted something slightly removed for this part of our trip, that said it was only a 5/6 min drive into town.

A charming spot for anyone who enjoys comfort and being close to nature.
Pros: The place was very cosy and perfect for a peaceful getaway. Surrounded by lots of nature, it felt private and relaxing, with comfortable beds and a lovely fireplace that made the stay extra warm and inviting.
Cons: The only downside was a problem with the warm water on one day during our stay, but the host reacted quickly and was very helpful in solving it, which we really appreciated.

A perfect stay and everything just as expected.
Pros: We had a wonderful experience, we loved everything – the place looks exactly like in the pictures, very clean, cozy, and beautifully arranged. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, always available and helpful. The whole atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, and we felt right at home. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special getaway!

Excellent!
Pros: We loved MAUMA! It was very clean & aesthetic & the host was great - they provided lots of recommendations to enjoy Monteverde. The property has a lovely reading window with a fabulous view!
Cons: Note: driveway to get in is quite steep!

Cons: The smoky smell from the woodfire heater irritated my allergies. The driveway and the path to our house was extremely steep.

Unbedingt zu empfehlen!
Pros: Wir hatten eine traumhafte Zeit in der Unterkunft! Sie ist noch viel schöner als auf den Fotos. Wirklich schön und gemütlich eingerichtet, gute Ausstattung der Küche und eine tolle, ruhige Lage. Die Vermieter waren immer zu erreichen und haben schnell geantwortet. Am Ende war es sehr schade, dass wir nur 2 Nächte da sein konnten. Vielleicht noch eine wichtige Sache: Es war tatsächlich so kalt, dass wir den Kamin an machen mussten (womit wir nie in Costa Rica gerechnet hätten). Für uns kein Problem und obendrein sehr gemütlich, für jemand anderen eventuell etwas ungewohnt.
Cons: Es gibt einfach nichts, was man hätte besser machen können!

Eigentlich schön, leider sehr unpersönlich.
Pros: Wunderschön gebaut, sehr überlegt eingerichtet und hat eigentlich alles.
Cons: Wir sind für drei Tage dort gewesen Sehr unpersönlich geführt, es wurde drei Tage kein Zimmer gemacht, die Abfalleimer wurden nicht geleert und es gab auch keine neuen Badetücher, alles wird mit Kameras überwacht.

Excellent accommodations in a beautiful location!
Pros: Cleanliness, comfortable bedding, attentive staff, well cared for property. This is a great property and the accommodations are clearly cared for and considerable attention to detail given.
