The Sutton - Boutique Jungle Experience - Walk to Envision Festival

Great choice for Uvita

Pros: Very friendly couple. Beautiful place, conveniently close to the center and the beach. Stylish villas and great place for outside cooking. We also loved the fruits and saw a few animals around:)

Would definitely stay again.

Pros: We loved the location in the jungle. I am an avid bird watcher and this was the perfect place to see and hear so many species of birds

Cons: Initially unsure about no bedroom blind but quickly realised one wasn’t necessary as so private and so dark at night

Pros: Such a lovely place - we loved every minute of our stay! In the nature with Tucans greeting us for breakfast, very clean place with wonderful hosts. A nice pool and a beautiful garden. Just as lovely as in the pictures, the perfect boutique jungle experience!

Pros: Great place overall! Cory is such a genuine, nice guy and gave us great food and drinks recommendations. Room is fully equiped and looks great. At dusk, you can also spot a lot of birds

Pros: Beautiful cottages with jungle view. Very comfortable, big beds, nice shower, a patio and kitchenette and also an shared space with fully equipped kitchen. Nice pool area and beautiful garden. Friendly and accommodating owners.

Cons: You're a bit outside Uvita so definitely need a cat to go anywhere but in return you get beautiful surroundings and peace and quiet so we didn't mind the trade off.

Pros: We initially booked only 3 days at the sutton, but immediately after arrival extended to one week. Why? Because its simply that good. This is the place you dont want to rate 10/10 because you want to keep it to yourself.

Pros: My wife and I stayed 5 nights in the Sutton and it’s definitely an experience we will never forget for the rest of our lives. Aly and Cori were great hosts and gave us a lot of good recommendations: if you have the chance, definitely book a whale watching tour with Esteban. For the most of our stay we even had the common kitchen spaces and the pool for ourselves and made very good use of it. It was one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in and waking up in the middle of the jungle with such a view is definitely something else. During the breakfast on our last day we could see some white faced monkeys from very close up.

A hidden gem

Pros: In our top 3 places we stayed in CR. Each self catering lodge is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean and surrounded by gorgeous plants, giving you privacy yet all close to the shared pool. Each has its own kitchen area and there's a beautiful shared outdoor kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. Its up on the mountain in a quiet residential area and the Canadian owners are super helpful with restaurant and activity recommendations.. We would have loved to have stayed longer as its also superbly located between Uvita and Domenical, so plenty to explore.

Cons: Nothing! My teenager would have liked curtains on the sliding doors, so the morning sun didn't wake her up, but I loved waking up to a view of the jungle! The driveway is steep and does require 4x4, but we parked at the bottom and walked the 30 seconds up the drive, which was no problem at all.

Pros: A very modern and comfortable villa with a wonderful jungle atmosphere and a true sense of relaxation. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to cook your own meals. The pool is clean and perfect for a refreshing morning dip or relaxing by during the day. The hosts are helpful and attentive. Great location for exploring the nearby national parks.

Cons: Nothing.

A calm oasis to relax, unwind and enjoy the lush environment around you.

Pros: Beautiful location among the trees of the rainforest with a lovely pool to cool off in. It was very quiet and peaceful and so relaxing having a swim first thing in the morning or at the end of the day with birds darting about. The pool was really clean and the accommodation was spacious with a great terrace area to sit outside which included cooking facilities too. Most importantly the bed was large and extremely comfortable.
