Butterfly Apartments

Tranquil retreat in La Fortuna for excellent value

Pros: Great value, spacious, all amenities included. Good location, too — short walk from La Fortuna and surrounded by good eateries/shops.

Cons: Nothing.

Very good

Pros: Very clean and facilities good - air con very good to keep cool. Apartments as per pictures. Andreas and his wife were extremely welcoming and kind and willing to give us plenty of information about the area and things to do. Close to local facilities - shops and restaurants just around the corner

Pros: We had a wonderful stay here, mainly thanks to the world’s kindest owner. He was incredibly helpful and assisted us with absolutely everything we needed – from giving advice on prices for different activities, helping with bookings, arranging transportation, and answering any questions we had. No matter what we needed or were unsure about, he was always there for us. He also replies very quickly to messages, which made everything easy and stress-free. The price of the accommodation is very reasonable, especially considering the service and location. It’s also fairly central – about a 6-minute walk to the grocery store and around 20 minutes to the city center. We truly felt taken care of and would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Cons: Could be closer to the main city center

Pros: Really comfortable apartment and convenient location

We really enjoyed our stay. Muchas gracias Andres!

Pros: Spacious and mostly well equipped. Very food space to dry wet clothes for example.

Cons: A toaster would have been good to have. Otherwise everything was there!

Recommended stay

Pros: We enjoyed our stay at the Butterfly Apartments. Instructions for self entry to the apartment were clear and Andrés was always available to answer any questions we had. The apartment was clean and had good facilities for basic cooking, we ate at the apartment both nights. The area is quiet with a supermarket and bakery in walking distance. It is about a 20 minute walk to the centre which we found comfortable and easily booked Ubers when we wanted to travel further. We would recommend staying at Butterfly Apartments.

Pros: An immaculately clean, safe and cosy apartment. Andres was a a great host- accommodating with lots of recommendations. He even let us store our bike behind the gate so that it couldn’t be accessed by other people overnight. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Cons: The one consideration is that it’s a 20 minute walk from the centre of La Fortuna- fine for us as we don’t mind a walk and we hired a scooter but might not suit everyone.

Excellent choice for La Fortuna

Pros: Fully equipped house with super friendly hosts that have a lot of useful tips to share for the area. About 15 minutes walk from the center of the town. 100% Recommended!

Pros: Great place, Andreas very helpful. Clean, a lot of space...highly recommended!

Highly recommend this property and its hosts.

Pros: Andres and Alejandra were friendly and helpful hosts and always there when you needed them. Communication with them to arrange arrival times etc was easy. The studio was very spacious, clean and had everything you needed to make your stay comfortable. We particularly the liked the comfortable lounge area. The location is in a quiet area of the town with a good community feel about the area. The property is very secure - there is a bakery and cafe a minute's walk from the property and a large supermarket about 5 minutes' walk. The town centre is a short 10 minute walk away. We had a wonderful stay at Butterfly Apartments and would highly recommend it for your stay in La Fortuna.

Cons: It was all excellent.
