Perfect local experience in the heart of Costa Rica

Pros: It was the perfect farm experience. We were travelling for one month through Costa Rica and this place was simply magical. It was a real local experience, no other tourists around. The Mendez family, especially Ana, offered a great hospitality. The breakfast was delicious. We spent also time at the pool and with the many animals that the farm has to offer. Ana was also teaching me how to cook with woods and fire. The whole area is very peaceful and has a great variety of trees and flowers. From the farm you can see the Turrialba volcano, which was always a stunning view.

Cons: We didn't miss anything! It was just perfect!

Great opportunity to experience local culture.

Pros: This property was one of the highlights of our trip and cannot recommend enough. Be sure to include meals in your stay to have a truly special experience with a local family. David, our host, and his mom and dad treated us like long lost family. Thank you David. We loved it.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful part of Costa Rica that most tourists completely miss! Hidden gem!

Pros: The owners are salt of the earth people! They are hard working, diligent, friendly, and generous! I had sooo many questions in advance of our trip and they were fantastic to respond quickly. The breakfast that we had there was also amazing! Wonderful experience!! Also, we just loved the pool surrounded by nature!

Cons: If you aren’t into insects, you may have a tough time here, but that’s true of much of Costa Rica. The road was also a bit loud, as the house was so close to the road.

Pros: Un lugar hermoso, rodeado de la naturaleza, la casa super amplia y muy acogedora, las áreas verdes muy bonitas y las piscinas preciosas. En realidad me encantó el lugar. Regresaría sin pensarlo.

Een groot verblijf bij lokale mensen!

Pros: Een gigantisch huis op een groot perceel met SUPER aardige eigenaren. Deze man heeft alles zelf gebouwd en verzorgt het tot in de puntjes We waren met 5, maar er kunnen wel 15 mensen verblijven, en genoeg ruimte voor een eigen balzaal. Nog een leuk gesprek met de eigenaren met een bord bonen en rijst:)

Pros: Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt, alles ist sehr familiär. Das Naturschwimmbad ist super und wir hatten ein tolles Frühstück und Abendessen. Wer mit der Familie oder einer Gruppe von Freunden auf dem Land Urlaub machen möchte ist hier an der richten Stelle.

Cons: Im ersten Haus hört man leider die Strasse etwas wenn die Laster oder Motrräder vorbeifahren.

Pros: Casa Lajas is very beautiful and special. It's the perfect place to relax and connect with Mother Nature. The staff is super friendly and always happy to help with any needs or extras. I highly recommend Casa Lajas as your next vacation destination. It's great for big groups, as well as small families or couples. Five stars for Casa Lajas!

Cons: Everything was on point; I liked everything, no complaints.
