Personal, honest, basic, beautiful. Thanks Lina!!

Pros: CR has many fancy posh accommodation options, but Hospedaje Bosque del RIO is a different kind of special! It is a local house at a local family’s farm. Lina and her sons are super kind and amazing people. Be sure to take the farm tour. The house is well equipped, vintage in some ways, but lovingly decorated. Would visit again!

Cons: The shower does not get very warm. We visited during 2 cold days so we kept showers very short ;)

Highly recommend. Great experience and value for cost.

Pros: House was so spacious. Bathroom/showers were great (despite me initially being skeptical that there would be hot enough water). Lounge/couches comfortable for movie night with the kids one night. Kitchen had supplies we needed. Dina and Andres were SO HOSPITABLE and kind. Took us on a tour of their farm and a hike on the property. An amazing 1/2 day activity with the kids.

Pros: Location is magical, hosts were super attentive and went well beyond for anything we required. They also gave us a tour of their family farm making the experience unforgettable.

Cons: There was nothing we did not like. However, do read the instructions about requiring a 4x4. Although not necessarily essential, it does facilitate the journey.

Pros: Clean, spacious and comfortable. Good location and well equipped.

Cons: Swimming pool wasn’t really a functional pool. Would benefit from bedside tables and a salt and pepper.

Absolutely must stay here!

Pros: Absolutely beautiful property! It was clean, with a washer and dryer. Lots of room - one bedroom has 2 doubles and two rooms each have a double. And a pullout couch. It even has a TV we could stream TV in English. They give a tour through the farm, showing you their cows and the beautiful property that has been in their family.

Pros: Location, price, and very nice host family. It’s near the hanging bridges and zip lines if you book with 100% aventura. Nice cottage with a nice view. We had a tour to the farm
