Great value for money

Pros: The hot spring pool was a steep walk, but worth it! Overlooks a waterfall and we had it to ourselves. Lovely having breakfadt included. Bed comfy & everyyhing clean. The view from the kitchen and rooftop seating area was amazing. A coati visited the garden most days.

Cons: A screen on the bathroom window and maybe one other would be useful. There is noise from the road below, but for the price & location it wouldn't put us off staying again.

Great value with incredible views.

Pros: Incredible views from the seating area. Well stocked little kitchen. A little way down the road from Santa Elena which suited us. The walk down to the natural pool via the adjoining finch was unforgettable. Lovely staff.

Cons: Slightly close to the road but traffic noise didn't bother us and finished early.

Pros: The house has an amazing view towards the Pacific and the peninsula. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, cutlery , crockery etc There is also a higher sun terrace with seating. It is an easy drive to St Elena. Two spacious bedrooms with comfy beds.

Cons: Getting out of the drive is a little tricky as you can't turn at the top. It is possible to wriggle around at the bottom and luckily the road is not too busy.

Pros: Great fresh breakfast included and nice view with great terrace on the roof

Edge of paradise

Pros: Balcony area above carport, comfortable beds, outside area around house, glorious views. Great support with minor issues, such as kettle not working.

Cons: No place to store or hang clothing, more hangers would be great. Not enough room in bedroom for large suitcase, just minor things really.

Good place to stay.

Pros: Good place to stay. Our plans changed and we had to shorten our stay and the host provided a discount even though they didn’t have to as per their cancellation policy. This was appreciated.

Cons: Nothing fancy.

A great stay in Monteverde.

Pros: The two room unit was spacious and very comfortable ( for a short stay ). The location is near everything , and irrespective of the near road -quit. The hostess brought us delicious breakfasts .

Cons: The property was difficult to locate at first . The name is not advertised on it and because to reach it one needs to make a sharp turn , it was unclear. The property has two rooms, but a single parking space. When both rooms are occupied, one car needs to park on the side of the road. This is not a bad spot, but requires a minute walk. When one has heavy suitcases …. The hostess needs to communicate better in English. Because we are not fluent in Spanish, our communication was restricted mainly to internet messages.

Pros: Los anfitriones son muy amables. La terraza tiene una vista increíble para disfrutar los atardeceres. La casa es cómoda y un bonus: para quienes se animen a un trekking de mediana dificultad, a 2km, dentro de la finca, hay una pileta de agua termal, contra un río. Vale el esfuerzo!
