Lovely little cottage on the mountainside!

Pros: Casa Chicua is an adorable little cottage, rustic but comfortable, and Juan (the host) couldn’t have been any friendlier or more accomodating. It’s super close to the Volcán Irazu so perfect for an early morning visit there. The views from the cottage are also amazing, we awoke early to find ourselves above the clouds. Enchanting!

Great option for an early volcano visit.

Pros: Cute little house close to Irazu Volcano National Park. It's a little old fashioned but had a well equipped kitchen. A good option for an early start at the volcano. Make sure you book entrance tickets to the volcano online in advance - they are not available on the gate.

Pros: Proximity to Irazú volcano and stunning views. Wildlife viewing from the porch. Clean with good facilities. Extra blankets and heaters provided for the cold nights.

A lovely house for an overnight stay near Irazu

Pros: -A cute house with an amazing view -Fully equipped kitchen, incl. coffee machine + coffee -A heater to make the night more comfortable -We were happy that we could walk to a restaurant (Linda Vista) -Just 20mins drive from Irazu -Check-in and check-out were easy, we just provided the host with a time and she came to open and close the doors

Pros: Don Juan fue una persona demasiado amable y atento durante nuestra estadía. La casa fue acogedora y equipada. La calefacción nos ayudó a soportar el frío durante nuestra estadía. Volvería, definitivamente.

Great experience

Pros: Upon arrival, greeted by the owners. Warm welcoming and description of home amenities and local attractions. Irazú volcano is very close. Olla crater is down the road. Area was super safe and relaxing. Incredible view day or night. Home felt like traditional countryside just like locals live, made us relive childhood memories. Will definitely return to this specific home next time we come to Cartago.

Pros: La maison est très bien placée à seulement 20 minutes de l'entrée du parc. Juan est très gentil et disponible et sa maison est bien équipée. Les lits sont confortables.

Cons: Nous avons eu quelques soucis avec la WiFi. A noter que la région est très froide donc pensez aux vêtements chauds.
