Pros: Absolutely amazing! The location is perfect close to the village and yet very quiet and private. Very close to the natural reserve and you can see all sort of amazing animal from the terrace. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and it has everything. The host was friendly ans responsive.

A hidden jungle gem

Pros: The location is amazing. The hammock and eating area and useful kitchen. Very helpful host. I had a great massage too!

Cons: Nowhere to dry clothes.

Three nights in Tortuguero

Pros: Very nice hostess, quick response to all our questions via WhatsApp. The house is located at the end of the village right next to the national park. The way there is short and leads past the houses of the residents. We had a terrace with a hammock. Mosquitoes were not a problem for us with the spray. The apartment was large for two people. The kitchen was well equipped.

Cons: Richly functional furnishings, not very cozy. No breakfast included and no intermediate cleaning for the rather high price. But we knew that beforehand. Swimming in the sea is not recommended, we witnessed a dramatic rescue, the currents are strong.

Comfortable and spacious. Sounds of the jungle very interesting.

Pros: Clean and spacious . Good kitchen space and fully equipped. At edge of rainforest so we were able to spot monkeys and other wildlife during our stay. Cristina friendly and helpful. Canoe trip booked through host.

Cons: Spider web above hammock so couldn’t use it.

Pros: De omgeving. De dieren op het eiland. Vlakbij het dorp maar net ver genoeg voor de rust. De host was erg behulpzaam.

Klein aber fein, für einen Kurzaufenthalt sehr zu empfehlen

Pros: Schönes Haus am Rand von Tortuguero. Klein aber fein. Sehr sauber und es hat alles, was es braucht. Oben ist das Schlafzimmer mit Bad und eine kleine Terrasse, unten die Küche mit einem gedeckten Sitzplatz und Hängematte.

Cons: Es hat stark geregnet als wir da waren und der Weg zum Haus wurde überschwemmt.
