Portugal 🇵🇹

Nice place

Pros: Tortuguero is a very unfortunate name for such a special place, but yes, it was named the place to kill turtles. It is a small place where everything is in a walking distance, once you arrive with the boat. The house is nice, with a garden and a cat. Space is fine, but with 4 people, it requires some logistics, specially to access the toilet. Kitchen is good and with all necessary tools. Internet is also fine. The hostess is nice and very helpful. We bought some tours with the associated partner and kudos to Fabian! What a nice guy!

Cons: A proper place to hang the clothes is definitely a good addition and towell holders.

Pros: We had an amazing stay in Tortuguero at Raquel’s property! She was incredibly kind and welcoming — she even picked us up from the Roots office, which was such a nice gesture and made our arrival super easy. We were lucky to be among the first guests, and everything in the house felt brand new, spotless, and thoughtfully prepared. The setup was perfect for our group of 8, as we were able to enjoy both houses while sharing the garden and the patio. The space is ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring Tortuguero, and the attention to detail really made a difference. We recommend this place!

Como en casa!

Pros: Nos encantó esta casita tan acogedora en medio del pueblo. Accesible a todos los sitios caminando. Las camas y almohadas muy cómodas. Tenía todo lo necesario para sentirte como en casa. Raquel nos explicó un montón de cosas sobre las tortugas, ya que es bióloga y guia.

Sehr schöne, moderne und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Unterkunft

Pros: Die Unterkunft ist nagelneu und wurde erst im Juli 2025 fertig gestellt. Die beiden Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und durchdacht, mit genügend Abstellflächen und Haken, sowohl im Zimmer als auch im Bad. Die Küche hat alles was man braucht. Die Terrasse ist überdacht. Die Lage ist sehr gut, wobei in Tortuguero fast egal, da man von überall nur ca. 10 Minuten braucht, egal wohin man will :D Der Kontakt war äußerst freundlich und immer sehr schnell. Die gebuchte Kajak Tour war super.

Cons: Der Pool ist bei einem anderen Hotel, zu dem man ca. 10 Minuten laufen muss. Das Mitnehmen der Handtücher aus der Unterkunft ist explizit verboten, weshalb man ein Problem hat, wenn man extra nur mit kleinem Gepäck / Rucksack nach Tortuguero anreist.
