Great stay in Tortuguero

Pros: The location is right in the center of Tortuguero, so perfect for restaurants and easy access to the park. Marina was really welcoming and make our time in Tortuguero really great and easy ! The bed is comfy, a tad small room and only one sink for all the guests to share as a use of the bathroom, but overall it’s not annoying.

Pros: Great location close to the beach and town centre. Quiet location. Friendly and helpful host. Fair breakfast. Good value for money.

Cons: The bathrooms are a bit crammed and the wifi didn't work sometimes, but that's the case for the whole town then.

Home away from home

Pros: I loved the family that owns the place: I almost felt at home. Super close to the beach, well equipped kitchen, good showers.

THE place for a Backpacker in Costa Rica

Pros: Marina is the most welcoming person in Tortuguero. No matter who you are, she will be there helping you. Everything is very clean.

Cons: Rooms are very small and without window.

Basic but good !

Pros: Very basic hostel but for £8 can’t go wrong. Nice bed, lots of fans. Maria was lovely at reception.

Cons: Bathrooms were quite small. Not very social.

Beautiful hostel near the beach with cute owner lady

Pros: The location was perfect, almost right next to the beach and near the main street. It was a very cute área super green with beautiful local house and very chill :) The owner was a sweetheart!

Cons: Only the fact that the rooms did not have windows but it is the only downside, it was well worth the money :)

Pros: Great hostess ! She took the time to explain everything about the area. Great adviser, available, caring. We were lucky enough to have the dormitory all for ourselves. Some people clogged the showers and the hostel made sure it was unclogged for the next day.

Cons: Warning : no warm shower (only the first day but only cold water the two next days)

Pros: Everything from bedroom to bathrooms are in a very good state and seem newly renovated. Marina the manager is lovely and really helpful. The kitchen also works well and there is a pool table for free use! There is a nice outdoor communal space and Marina provides a very good laundry service.

Cons: Spaces are small but fine. My dorm was quite empty and would have been small if 6 people were there.

Pros: Lovely stay, Marina is a peach and was really friendly. She helped me find good tours and had great recommendations.

Pros: Very nice host and warm welcoming! Everything was super easy to organize, the tours, the boat trips, everything! Thank you very much!
