Jane's Beach Resort

Pros: The manager was exceptional and the only reason we stayed. She went above and beyond. The pool area was nice and despite the owner's wife telling us no restaurant in walking distance- there is indeed a lovely restaurant that the manager told us about within a few minutes walk

Cons: The position is poor - overlooking a lorry park with building work either all night or starting early. The room was supposed to have a sea view but this was stretching it over the lorry park. The beach was awful and full of rubbish and the area outside the hotel was not inviting

Mixed feelings.

Pros: The staff were super friendly and helpful . They really went out of their way . The place was super clean and quite relaxing. Breakfast was great served with a smile every day. I really want to thank the staff from Costa Rica for my happy time there. I would recommend Janes Beech Resort the sunrisers and sunsets are spectacular. Beautiful long beech lovely warm water . I fished from shore most days didn't catch a monster. But the small fish kept me busy. Tony from Ireland

Best place to stay at near Caldera

Pros: The location was great, with a beach entrance that we really liked. Breakfast was very good, along with the many amenities the place has, including a very nice terrace to see the sunrise and sunset. Appreciated the private parking space, along with the great service by everyone. Will definitely be back when staying near Caldera.

Cons: Only very small detail is that if you eat a lot, the breakfast might not make you full.

Pros: Laurie was a great host. Janes resort is located just behind a wide open empty beach. The hotel itself is lovely. Great artwork and quiet peaceful pool amd hammocks

Cons: The area around the resort is quite run down many properties are empty. Worth catching a a bus to puntarenes for more night life

Very nice

Pros: Laurie was amazing ! She gave us a lot of locations to visit for the rest of the trip. She helped us a lot when we had a problem with the car. She’s a real plus for the place. Of course the pool was amazing and the proximity with the beach aswell. We saw a great sunset when we arrived. The kitchen place is good and enough to cook your stuff. It’s very clean everywhere. We stayed only one night but we could have stayed more.

Heaven on Earth

Pros: Sorry for the late review! We had the most wonderful time staying with Marc. We felt totally at home staying at Jane’s Beach Resort. Marc is a perfect host who cannot do enough for you. We spent four nights towards the end of our three week travelling in Costa Rica. He is a wonderful chef, and will provide you with a range of different foods. The setting is gorgeous, we had a beach view from our room, there is a large communal balcony that you can watch the sunset from. Every night we walked down to the beach from an entrance from his garden. We felt safe, welcomed and friendship. We are going to be returning to see Marc again. The location is perfect especially if you have a rental car, we drove from Tamarindo, which was only a couple of hours away. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing

Cons: Can’t think of anything

Pros: -staff are friendly and helpful -location is good, you can walk to the beach from the accommodation -swimming pool -there are many lovely dogs -hot shower -comfortable bed -quiet

Cons: -I came back to this accommodation because the staff is nice and the rooms are clean. Unfortunately, the room wasn’t as clean during my second stay -It’s a bit annoying that every time you need to enter the accommodation, you have to call or text the staff to open the gate for you. Hopefully, they can fix this issue soon. -They don’t give you a room key, which means that if you go outside, the room cannot be locked

Pros: Janes Resort was lovely, quirky and unique ! The property is decorated with beautiful murals and images, both inside and outside the rooms!

Cons: The area itself is quite rundown, and Jane's Resort seems out of place in such an area! The beach is literally at the bottom of the garden, and the views of the sunset pretty good, but step out of the property, and the area surrounding is very sad, dirty and un loved!

Man var oftast helt ensam (vilket i och för sig kan vara ett plus) men som ensamresenär vågade jag inte bada av rädsla för att dras med av någon våg. Jag var inte så förtjust i de lakan som användes, de kändes plastiga och var märkta med \
