Lovely beach house watching over the Nicoya Gulf

Pros: Fabulous location, food and facilities. We loved our beach house and watching the Howler Monkeys from our veranda was such a treat. The restaurant was lovely and the staff very efficient and pleasant.

Cons: Everything was excellent.

Pros: Location, clean, liked outdoor bathroom, staff were great.

Cons: Lighting in the room was limited. Needs some lamps.

Peaceful, remote, perfect to relax.

Pros: Loved being in the jungle next to the ocean. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Booked all the excursions we wanted to have. Used locals as guides instead of larger corporations who are very touristry. Love the peacefulness of the property. Loved the layout of the unit washrooms. Excellent WiFi

Cons: Improved seating on the beach. Improved access for people with mobility issues. Seating options in the bungalows.

Un lugar increíble en la península de Nicoya, Costa Rica

Pros: Beach Resort Playa Leona is amazing place. For sure the best place to stay if you come to Nocoya's península nearby Paquera, Punta Arena is the best place to stay. The place is gorgeous, you will get in contact with nature. We received an amazing attention form Luis and the Stuff form Playa Leona. Breakfast was delicious, you eat while enjoying. The tours they offer are well organized and Captain Beto is super friendly. I fully recommend it

Pros: Very nice place in a great location. Good vibe. We loved the common space at the beach. Foor was very good, even though the restaurant was a bit expensive.

Pros: The cabins are beautifully built of teak wood and situated with a comfortable distance in between them. The pool is quite nice and the beach there is lovely.

Cons: The bathroom (toilet and shower) being outside was uncomfortable, especially because there is a walking path to other cabins above cabin #5 where we stayed, so there is no privacy at all in the bathroom.

Peaceful, quiet, natural setting to rest and recharge!

Pros: The room was immaculate and very comfortable. The kitchenette had everything we needed to make our own meals. The pool and grounds were very clean and the surroundings were peaceful and scenic. We were looking for a quiet place to recharge in between more busy stops and this place completely nailed it! Quiet (except for howler monkey wake-up call:-) which we loved) and restful! Tons of beautiful birds and incredible array of birdsong! Will definitely go back.

Amazing stay in playa Leona

Pros: Everything was really great: - the place is really beautiful and calm - the bungalows are big and very confortable - the restaurant is extremely good (and we are French, food matters a lot for us) - the staff is very nice

Charmante Hütten in abgelegener Lage laden zum Entspannen ein!

Pros: Schönes Areal mit zwei Handvoll Hütten, direkt an einem Strand in Hanglage, einfache Hütten aber stilvoll, die Outdoor Dusche plus WC sind „besonders“, generell modern und relativ frisch renoviert, easy Trail (direkt vom Hotel) zum benachbarten Strand vorhanden

Cons: Eingeschränkte Privatsphäre bei Outdoor Bad/WC, da Nachbarn in unmittelbarer Nähe sind (insbesondere für Haus 6), Restaurant war okay aber Qualität könnte höher sein (zB French Toast), es laufen 2-3 Hunde frei rum, die aber lieb sind
