Hotel Villas Rio Mar

Comfortable and clean in a lovely place

Pros: Really comfortable with fridge, safe etc in room . Lovely location though directions to the hotel were awful but we managed to find it. Dimmer in the Crocodile Grill restaurant was pretty good and not a bad price.

Cons: It was all good (except directions) and the breakfast was quite small and not the best that we had in Costa Rica at all.

Fantastic stay

Pros: Lovely resort - two pools, big bar, pretty tropical grounds, really nice big room. Staff were really friendly and helpful. All the food was very tasty, quickly and well cooked and menus were varied.

A great place to reset in a beautiful setting, surrounded by toucans iguanas a two good sized pools.

Pros: Beautiful gardens, so many birds and wildlife. Also great to have a lanes pool, and beds were very comfy.

Cons: More vegetarian friendly meals on the menu but the food was great.

Good restaurant at nice hotel.

Pros: Villas well spaced. Restaurant was good. Gardens good.

Cons: We could hear prolonged snoring from neighbour. Happy hour options too limited.

Quiet lush garden paradise

Pros: We prolongued and almost stayed for a month because we lovedit so much. The garden space is beautiful, you can see so much wildlife here already. Wonderful staff, extremely friendly and professional. Nice pool area and the rooms are nice, you have your own private terrace. Rooms aren’t too big but if you upgrade to the suites, you’ll love it

Cons: I would have preferred a breakfast buffett over breakfast a la carte. Apart from this, nothing to complain about

Pros: Nice rainforest setting, huge gardens, nice pools, good breakfast, friendly and very helpful staff. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Close to Uvita and Manuel Antonio parks. Easy walk to the beach, although not recommended at night. Beach has strong current and waves, so we drove to Uvita for chilling day on the beach.

Cons: No coffee maker / kettle which was a little disappointing as we had it in every hotel we stayed in CR. Otherwise all good!

lovely spot would stay again

Pros: Grounds lovely and location great. The rooms were good size and air conditioning appreciated. Staff friendly and restaurant good.

Cons: not major issue but the service at the restaurant was particularly slow

Pros: Everything was perfect from check in to checkout with particular mention ton the bbq night!

Pros: Amazing location, few minutes from the beach. Bungalow is located in lovely natural surroundings. We saw iguanas, butterflies, birds.

Pros: Lovely setting, great pool area with restaurant serving excellent food. Good sized room and bathroom.
