Quiet, pleasant, family-run place
Pros: Overall, the hotel is pretty great and the owners are lovely. It's very quiet, the rooms are nice and the beds firm. The owners cook their own meals at the restaurant, it takes some time but it's very tasty. For the money you pay (which is half the price of most villas in the vicinity) it's a steal. Right on the beach, close to the main road and a bunch of places to eat. The pool is large, bigger than most tiny hotel pools, and is cleaned regularly. Rooms are also cleaned a few times a week. There are howler monkeys living in the trees right next to the hotel.
Cons: One thing needs to be made clearer in the description: the hotel doesn't have hot water. It's a little warm from the sun, but it's nowhere near hot. The temperature outside is 33C degrees most days, so it's not like you want a hot shower but it's hard to get grime and sand out without hot water. Also, out of all the pillows in the room, only one was in decent shape. None of this was a deal-breaker for me, esp for the price, so I was comfortable.

Pros: La atención en general muy bien. Instalaciones cómodas y adecuadas. La comida muy rica y a buen precio.
Cons: Está cerca de la playa si, pero debería mencionarse que hay un estero para poder llegar al mar, viajando con niños el acceso no es tan fácil

Pros: Originalmente aparecia que incluia el desayuno, pero al llegar indicaron que no. Luego tuvimos que esperar mucho para poder desayunar y se tardaban en la preparacion de alimentos

Pros: The hotel appeared to be in a state of ongoing renovation. The staff was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Once I arrived to the room I noticed that the door did not offer much in the way of security. Although the door had a locking feature, the fit of the door left a sizable gap along the frame. The room had both A/C and a ceiling fan. There was no closet in the room, but a dresser was provided for storage. The bathroom was clean however, the water temperature left me chilly as the maximum level of hot was less than lukewarm. The restaurant food was good and adequately priced. The hotel was within walking distance to the beach. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, clean property with a great staff, consider the Hotel Georgi in Playa Junquillal.
