Hotel Playa Negra

Beautiful location

Pros: Beautiful location, right on the beach, lovely pool and great food in resturant. Very cute huts, clean and comfortable. We loved our stay here, listening to the ocean.

Amazing stay

Pros: The hotel has great location, right at the beach, surrounded by the palm trees and well looked after garden. We felt immediately disconnected. Ideal for people who search for some quiet time. There is nice restaurant with a beach view and pool. We enjoyed our stay so much. Hotel stuff are very friendly and looked after us really well. We would stay here again.

Cons: There is really nothing what we didn’t like .

A truly magical place

Pros: The hotel is great, beautiful, super location, lovely swimming pool, truly amazing staff!

Cons: Rooms were large and cozy, but it can get a bit challenging to manage the heat without the air conditioning (during the day - evenings were fine)

Great for beach access

Pros: Great location for access to the beach, the pool is nice and the cocktails at happy hour were good. Check in was easy and efficient.

Cons: The cabins were very nice but quite hard to keep biting insects out of. Probably the place in Costa Rica I was bitten the most.

Really great place to stay. Accommodation is simple but that is part of the charm.

Absolutely the perfect getaway…whether traveling alone or with a group.

Pros: Location was perfectly located on beach …prime location for surfers or anyone wanting to be on the ocean. Restaurant food was delicious and service was wonderful. Authentic Costa Rican food and other classics too

Cons: There are no local ATMs (45 mins away) and cannot tip on credit card for restaurant. Cash tips only and cash for extra activities too. Keep in mind. Bring more money than credit.

I’ll be back again.

Pros: If you like vacations on cruise ships and tour buses don’t go to Hotel Playa Negra, but if you don’t mind traveling the bumpy dirt road less traveled to get to beaches that are barely occupied with super chill world travelers and want to interact with the nicest staff then you should go. The pictures on the website are accurate.

Cons: I didn’t like leaving.

Cons: Pas asser de pression d'eau dans la douche

Pros: La tranquilidad el personal y que esté frente a la playa

Cons: No es con la propiedad , solo digo que el va a Playa Negra tiene que saber que es para ir a descansar no hay casi nada para hacer

Best place to stay in Negra!

Pros: Amazing rooms. Right at the surf break. Super friendly staff. Definitely check out the large rooms with two extra twin beds on the side. They also have a shared kitchen with the bungalow next to it.
