It is a place to relax and disconnect in nature!

Pros: The staff were really nice and friendly. Massages out of this world (Erika was incredible!). The place and nature are beautiful, and the view! The trekking path, the yoga studio… it is a place to relax and disconnect!

Cons: Rooms lack privacy (they are too open to the front). Food can be improved for the price it have. “none -nature” noises: A/C room machines, in-room refrigerator (I disconnected it), loud kitchen noises…

Pros: Nice remote location, if you are looking for amazing views and away from people this is the place for you. Good facilities and friendly staff.

Cons: Staff didnt speak english, so make sure you have translator software.

Pros: This place is in a rural area but the road is very accessible--- partly paved and the other part is unpaved; 4by4 vehicle is not needed. The view is so beautiful and it can be seen from your your room as well as the restaurant. The meals were ample and very delicious. What a quiet and peaceful place!

Cons: We have no complaints at all. Bernice made us feel at home and was very attentive to our needs.

AMAZING place for resting the soul, finding the peace but also to explore and enjoy different activities!

Pros: Amazing location, design, comfort, nature, food, amenities… Feeling like a home with a dose of luxury situated in a perfect place surronded by nature, birds and amazing views. This place has everything you need to relax bit also to enjoy the Costa Ruca nature. The yoga studio in the resort is the most beuatiful studio I have ever been… Hosts are amazing and they take care of anything you need!

Cons: If you want to use additional services it would be great to plan everything at least 2 days before as therapist for massage or yoga teacher and sound healer are not on the property and need to be booled in advance.

Cons: The road to come from the pacific side is a terrible carretwra there te no signs and we thought we were lost … although directions were given by the hotel to come through San Ramon there were not very clear for us and they were advising to go the other way … they should be even more explicit as google maps does not provide any warning to go that way.

Pros: We loved the stay here. Food tasty. Beautiful swimming pool with amazing view on mountains and ocean. People very very friendly. Our room neighbours returned here and we are ready to return as well. In our 15days trip in Costa Rica, this is the best hotel we stayed so far, highly recommended.

Hillside Retreat

Pros: Nice little place up in the hills not too far from San Jose airport. Very lovely and friendly host. We visited prior to high season in November and were almost alone. Still everything was available and nothing lacking. We enjoyed the rural feeling, but do take care and follow road instructions by the property and don't trust Google maps, especially if you're arriving from the west, it takes a good 4wd car and some \

Cons: Finding the entrance during low season was actually hard. You had to ring a bell to get in.
