Good finding

Pros: Very calm place with a stunning view of the sea and nature, and lots of birds coming while you are taking breakfast . The staff is very helpful

Cons: Only thing I have to say, is that I was terrible bitted by mosquitos at my arrival at night in the reception area. Good thing is I didn’t see mosquitos after out check in

Pros: Great location, kids loved the pool. The outdoor bathroom was fun, too.

Cons: Pizza at restaurant is good but very expensive. Luckily there is a great soda just down the road (where the dirt track meets the main road)

Pros: Friendly and great value. Birding also good around the lodge and nearby. Lovely pizza! Reception staff very helpful.

Lovely spot near many bird habitats.

Pros: Cerro is perfectly located near the coast and national parks. The staff are excellent and the facilities just beautiful. Tours on offer at additional cost. The pizzas were astounding but much of the food on offer was quite expensive.

Cons: A low cost menu would have been appreciated.

Great stay in a nice location - loved the monkeys and macaws!

Pros: We had a great 3 night stay at Cerro Lodge. They were so accommodating to us despite them being quite busy. The staff worked really hard and often went above and beyond. Breakfasts were a little hit and miss but it did depend on when you got there and how busy they were. There was generally cereal, fruit, pancakes and eggs plus plenty of tea, coffee and juice. Nice to have cold water and ice available the whole day. Lovely to see the monkeys and macaws come for food in the dining area. Beds were comfortable and we all slept well. We ate in the restaurants and the pizzas were delicious! Bathrooms were a joy in the 3 bed rooms - not so nice in the 4 bed ones.

Cons: WiFi was good in reception and the rooms near it. It was a little weak in the further away rooms.

A good place for birding

Pros: Good birding from the breakfast area .Jess is very good at arranging tours The Pizza is very good. We had Scarlett Macaws fiesting on the almond three just beside our room. The crccodile Safari was very good.

Cons: The food is somewhat expensuve and the Wifi was very poor. There was hanger in the bathroom but no place to hang the clothes.

Fantastic location for birding and a short drive to Carara NP.

Pros: The property was beautiful and all of the staff were polite and friendly.

Cons: The restaurant is very expensive.

Pros: The place is beautiful, with cabins in the jungle. Howler monkeys, parrots, lizards, squirrels and many birds frequently visit the premises. The pool is great, and the views from the pool and restaurant are stunning. Staff is very accommodating. They serve excellent pizza in the restaurant, among other things. The kids loved it and so did we.

Cons: You need a car to get to the lodge, which is a couple of km off the main road.
