Clean, private room with great hot water and aircon and Thomas is always outside with his working dog so I felt safe the

Pros: Incredibly clean! Honestly fantastic. Very very comfortable bed, beautiful balcony overlooking the street. Easy access to a supermarket, a few minutes walk to the beach. Incredible value for money - you won’t get a private room at this cost ANYWHERE in Costa Rica. Good for a couple of nights. Good air con too. Fab security too. Also the owner is SO helpful - I had an issue with a cockroach and he came up at 2am to help me try and sort it and was so helpful. Thank you Thomas. I also loved the working dog he was very good at security!

Cons: There’s nothing I didn’t like per se. I’ve travelled a lot as a solo female and so it doesn’t bother me if the owner drinks or not. For others who haven’t travelled, it’s something that might make them uncomfortable but everyone is different. Depends on you as a person.

Pros: Good location, Tom the owner was great, picked us up vrom the bus when it was raining, and dropped us back. Great location near tobthe beach

Pros: I liked Thomas & Nick, their hospitality was exceptional. The AC worked perfectly, the sheets were clean, oil and spices were available.

Great location, host and hostel

Pros: I travel for work, I've been able to stay at all kind of places and I mean it when I say the people, environment is worth more than anything else, stayed here because of the good reviews of the host and I can vouch that they are all true, Nick was very welcoming and nice, the hostel is well equipped and has a great location with an entrance to the national park within steps and a supermarket right in front Perfect place to be in town but not downtown
