Apartotel Girasol

Pros: Perfect location right next to the ocean. Walking distance to everything you need in Jaco.

Beautiful but with some areas for improvement.

Pros: Location is fantastic, the beach is in your backyard. Our room was upgraded given it was our honeymoon, we were not expecting this and we were very grateful and excited about it. Room is equipped and furnished. Clean. Pool was clean and the area was always well kept. Staff were friendly. During our first stay we had beach, shower, face and hand towels. Parking was right in the hotel behind a big wooden gate. Make sure to follow Guardianes del oceano, they release baby turtles to their home and they announce this via their instagram. It was so special to see the baby turtles finding their way to the ocean.

Cons: Areas for improvements: - Shampoo and soap dispensers didn't work, we had to go and buy our own. - Didn't get face and hand towels the second time we stayed here. - No coffee/tea, creamers, sugar--would have been great to have this available for morning coffee on the balcony. - Communication was not great, we didn't get contact information. Every hotel we stayed at sent us a WhatsApp message with endless details about our stay, recommended places to go, amenities, etc. This function would make it 10x easier on the manager, rather than explaining things on the fly. - Train staff or someone to check in guests when they arrive. Waiting for someone to show up should not happen. Someone should be there available to greet us and let us know the status of our room, etc. - Add more pillows, we only had one per person. - Add extra towels.

Pros: Nice, clean rooms with a pool and friendly host. Good location.

Beautiful hotel with kind people in a secure location.

Pros: It was a great place to stay for someone traveling alone. I appreciated the security guard there 24/7. The facilities were very great & updated. The pool was great. My apartment was large, clean, & well maintained. I loved staying here!

Cons: Nothing, I truly liked every part of this hotel! I have no complaints or concerns.

Pros: Very clean and well maintained place. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. The hotel manager and the all staff are very friendly and happy to help. Excellent value for the price.

Quiet and peaceful

Pros: It was so perfect. Location is quiet, right on the beach. The garden is peaceful. The apartment is all that we needed. Ac, hot shower, etc. The pool area is beautiful and quiet. We were lucky enough to have to pool to ourselves on many occasions for a few hours ! We could walk to town and get amazing food. There are so many restaurants a short walk away. Far from the busy town so its super relaxing. Honestly loved my stay !

Pros: The location was the best. Right on the beach and close to everything we needed

Beautiful apartment

Pros: Had a nice kitchen that we enjoyed. Close to shops and restaurants. Beautiful grounds and pool.

Cons: Rarely, was the front desk guy there. So check in was delayed and getting any help was absent most of the time. After returning of being one hour delayed checking in, he came back with a box full of food. Perhaps maybe suggest they eat prior to the hotels check in to prevent this in the future.

Relaxing stay in hotel which was close to beach and town centre.

Pros: Great location right next to the beach. Relatively small so was pretty peaceful. Helpful staff. Reasonably close to town centre.

Cons: Nothing, all good.

Pros: very nice close to the beach! Our studio had an amazing view on the ocean
