A great nature escape

Pros: Just fantastic. It's a fully-equipped wooden cabin in the middle of the forest. Spending time on the balcony is just priceless. Nice shower, kitchenette, all necessities are provided. Host was super friendly and responsive.

Pros: Huberth was an excellent host, he welcomed us in the cabin and also showed us around the farm explaining to us amazing stuff about the vegetation and the animals around! The communication with him was also really simple. All in all an amazing experience in the nature!

Cozy cottage with a great location

Pros: Lovely little cottage that made you feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest, but still really close to central La Fortuna and other activities by car. Clean and comfortable. The host gave us a lovely tour upon arrival.

Cons: A lot of humidity and moisture seeped through into the cottage despite having the AC going, but that’s also to be expected as it was rainy season.

Bird-lover paradise

Pros: Amazing stay, near Fortuna. Firstly, the hosts were amazing. They helped us find the way, were extremely friendly. The room itself was spotlessly clean and we had an amazing view in the morning: we saw ara’s, a tucan and many other birds from our little balcony. Further the room has everything you need: comfortable bed, AC, nice bathroom.

Cons: There’s not much not to like, just a head’s up: It does get quite dark and there is no breakfast on site unfortunately. However suggestions in La Fortuna.

Amazing stay in nature close to La Fortuna

Pros: We had an incredible time at Toku. The cabin is cozy, well-equipped, and perfect for a comfortable stay surrounded by nature. The views from the balcony are absolutely stunning, offering a serene retreat just a short 5-10 minute drive from La Fortuna. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the host’s brother, who kindly gave us a mini tour of their organic farm, a delightful and personal touch! We wholeheartedly recommend Toku for anyone visiting La Fortuna or Parque Nacional Volcán Arenal!

Highly recommended

Pros: The apartment hut is amazing - built with love and lots of nice details. The owner is lovely and the hut is in an organic farm where we saw sloth, several birds and also lots of different local fruits and vegetables. The owner offers farm tours and night walks. I highly recommend that place. Town, restaurants and tourist attractions are easy to reach by car.
