Pros: Beautiful place, very comfortable and spacious room. Nice pool area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.

Pros: We wished we had stayed longer in this place. Time stopped there, when being in the middle of nature. You don't even have to go to national parks to see the animals, they have sloths, monkeys, hummingbirds, iguanas etc wandering in and around the property. You could see in every step that owners have a special attention to details in a good way (quality of the building e.g soundproofing, little gestures at the breakfast, they make sure you have all the information you'd need for a perfect vacation). Breakfast was exceptional.

Luxurious and relaxing

Pros: We had an amazing welcome by Teddy. We saw sloths right away ! It was super luxurious the room and pool ! The location close to beach was also amazing.

A relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.

Pros: Breakfast was more than adequate. The pool was lovely. Proximity to the ocean was really good. Nearby restaurants were very good to exceptional.

Cons: Nothing we can think of.

Pros: Jardìn de Los Monos was absolutely perfect. Rooms were spacious, bed super comfortable (loved the softness of the sheets), really nice shower and lots of space outside to relax. The pool area was so nice, we could've stay there all day. Breakfast was delicious, we loved the Dutch pancakes and bread. The owner and Teddy were super friendly and helpful as well. Finally the location is perfect if you're looking for a peaceful place, surrounded by nature and animals and just 2 mins from the beach. We'll miss this place so much!

Beautiful jungle B&B

Pros: Warm welcome by the owner, big beautiful rooms in the jungle. Monkeys running over your roof, the garden is their playground

Pros: MATAPALO is an absolutely wonderful place to stay, with a friendly Dutch owner. The entire space is tastefully decorated and clean. In front of my room, I could relax in a hammock or by the pool, where I not only got a free towel but could also make coffee or tea for free at the nearby bar. The property is surrounded by beautiful trees and shrubs that create a cozy atmosphere—and if it weren't for the amazing beaches, I could have easily spent the whole day there. One morning, while enjoying a great breakfast (you can choose from three types), I saw a sloth with her baby settle into a nearby tree, which just proves how peaceful and tranquil this place is. I highly recommend it.

This place is exceptionally located between beach and jungle with everything you need for a relaxing break ❤️

Pros: We loved this place! We came for a relaxing break and it was perfect. We were greeted by Teddy at the gate in the pouring rain and he handed us umbrellas. Breakfasts are fabulous. You can spend time lounging by the pool or in the hammock outside your room. You can walk to the beach which is super close and wander along the shore for ages. And it’s peaceful- except when the monkeys come to visit and bounce around on the roof ( but this is a high light). Teddy made reservations for us and helped us with some bookings and Letikka ( our host) provided us with lots of helpful information. We would definitely recommend!

Superb small B&B, great hosts

Pros: Absolutely superb accommodation near the Matapalo beach. Great hosts who helped us with advice and showing some sloths and toucans. Outstanding breakfast.

A tropical garden with beautiful flowers and wildlife

Pros: The name of this lodge its really how it is: a wonderful garden where we could watch whiteface monkeys and even a sloth directly in front of our room. You can relax on sun loungers at the swimming pool or go to the beach which is just a short walk away. The host Lettika and her staff are very friendly. For breakfast there are different options and all of them were delicious.
