Pros: We had a room with a wonderful panoramic view an access to the shared balcony. The host was very polite and caring, speaking Spanish and English. His mother prepared the tasty and authentic breakfast.

Our host obviously works very hard for the guests and is very friendly, the world could use more people like her
Pros: The location was excellent for the views during the day and night
Cons: Road was a bit of a challenge but having driven on more roads since our stay I guess the road is par for the course and not a big deal

A beautiful mountain stay—like with family
Pros: The drive and view up the mountain were beautiful. The host was very kind and accommodating. It was a place that felt like staying with family (this can go both ways depending on how you feel about that). A couple of the places I wanted to visit were nearby, and the drive in the surrounding area is stunning. A great restaurant a mile or two away with an amazing view and delicious food. I am so sorry my Spanish is horrible!
Cons: I’m not going to say dislikes, but I will say these are things I wish I knew. 1) I feel horrible because when I first booked I did not realize that I would have someone waiting up for me to check in after I landed and had a late dinner. Be sure to read the description/reviews better than I did. 2) When I saw “pay at the property” I didn’t realize that meant cash. I don’t often carry much cash, so plan accordingly. 3) The property is gated, so when I had booked national park visits/hikes, I needed to leave by 6am, which meant having to call to open the gate. Again, I feel bad to need to have it opened—just keep in mind with plans. 4) The shower doesn’t have truly hot water (unless I did something wrong?)… not a deal breaker, but something unexpected. 5) Do not drive up in the dark the first time. I passed the driveway the first time (I saw the sign, I just didn’t realize I needed to turn right into the driveway, so kept going up a very steep dirt road… a bit scary…)

we loved the family that owns the place. we got breakfast both days and it was delicious!
Pros: we loved the view, breezes, covered parking and how relaxing it was.
Cons: we were happy, especially with the price, the family and hospitality.
