Pipe House Playa Grande

Original and quite place to stay right at the beach.

Pros: Small, quite and original place to stay. Only a few rooms in a beautiful garden. Family owned and right at the beautiful beach of Playa Grande. Lovely breakfast served in the shared kitchen. Super friendly staff.

Cons: It is quite tricky if you are two in a tube to open your baggage inside the room, specially if you travel with a large suitecass. But there is plenty of room outside to organise your stuff.

Fabulous stay in a great location, with fantastic atmosphere. Staff was so kind!

Pros: Amazing vibe, comfortable in all aspects, great owner Felippe. Steps from a beautiful, secluded beach, 5 mins away from 2 good and cosy restauranrs. Bisits from Racoons and hummingbirds every day. Our kids absolutely loved it and so did we!

Cons: The sheets kept coming off the beds at night, maybe a bigger size would work better?

Pros: Perfect location a minute from a beautiful beach. Gated entrance made it feel very safe. Breakfast was awesome and staff very friendly. Room is tiny but all we needed and AC was a life saver.

Pros: The pipes are unique and worked brilliantly. They were comfortable and a great use of space. The staff were fantastic and it’s set on a beautiful and quiet stretch of beach.

Cons: There was not much atmosphere during my stay. This might just have been bad luck, but I expected a bit more of a communal vibe with the quirkiness of the property.

Pros: The quirky architecture initially drew me in, but it was the host (and baby mascot), the delicious breakfasts, the gym, the beach, and the wonderful guests that made me extend my stay by four extra nights. Every time I tried to leave, there was always another great reason to stay. The stunning sunrises and sunsets, the charm of Lolo, and endless possibilities made this a perfect 10! NB: Not a place for people with baggage.

Pros: Great place to experience glamping in Costa rica. Felipe was super helpful, which made our stay an amazing experience.

Pros: Best part was the location of the accommodation, right by the playa grande beach. so it was great to wake up and go for a walk.

Cons: Nothing in specific, it was a good experience. Maybe breakfast should have more options.

Pros: Excellent breakfast. Comfortable hostel with fun rooms in pipes! Shared kitchen available. Walk to the beach.

HIGHLY recommend staying at the Pipe House! One of my favourite stays to date.
